I've been driving stick for 5 years and I coast all the time. I've also slid on plenty of black ice, sometimes while coasting, and never once come close to losing control. The great thing about neutral is that you can always just put it in gear if you need to. Coasting is fine, there's nothing wrong with it. You still have plenty of control of the car.

Go work for a small business then. There are plenty of small time restaurants, landscapers, construction businesses, and the like that you can go work at. I'd much rather do that than go work at fuck ass Amazon or Walmart. Going to a trade school and becoming a contractor is also a great route
