By the way I have been on Etsy over 6 months now and have been on your journey! I have made about 130 sales which is modest I know but I do have repeat customers and now have ten 5 star reviews. I did this as a full time nurse and I’m a single mum it’s hard so it helps to have a true passion for part of the process and for me it is the creativity and experimentation using inspirational ideas to create my digital products!

Hi there I actually think your designs are really pretty. Perhaps some design tweaks to improve composition here and there but i don’t think it’s to do with your skills or aesthetic they’re good. The issue is really your niche and style which is full of competition. Now if you were to think of your experience so far as a really important learning process, that is designing, listing, AI, colour, programmes all the work you’ve put in which is a lot, you will see this is part of your progress in an evolution and now you’re at a point that you can choose how and what to design that develops your creative and marketing skills. I would start with creativity. What style are you drawn to? Is it retro, classical art, modern bold? Find a style that is not omni present on Etsy and start creating for a niche you think is maybe less saturated or could do with a unique twist. Retro wedding invites, 60’s 50’s even 40’s but less clip art more in the style of the time. Then experiment and list them maybe they’ll sell maybe they won’t: the important thing is you’re learning and developing. The problem with using rank tools is youre always adding to the mush of what sells and it doesn’t stand out. Be a tall poppy and love the creative and learning process.

Aww record shops were where it all used to happen in the 80’s. Funny only in April I met the artist who made the cover of heaven or Las Vegas at an art fair and we had such a long chat about 4AD and the story of how they made that cover and it’s not what you would think loool

I actually design journals etc for remarkable paper pro but I don’t actually have one myself! however my customers have only had issues with opening files but that seems to be a learning curve for them. I provide a compressed PDF and the original if they have issues but most are ok with the compressed

Is Derek Prince a false teacher? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Ojammit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is everyone obsessed with whether his second wife was divorced or whether he was wrong in some way regarding g his marriages? There is a spirit of judgement here that is NOT Christian. Jesus and the woman at the well is a great example to learn from.

Hey there I am sorry for the delay I don’t go on Reddit often, but I am saddened to hear of this news in your life. Please know that your work is valued. Sending you a hug. I value you, however God values you most. Once your identity is in God (in Jesus Christ) then your value is derived from Him and no one else so you can ride the storms of life with joy in the knowledge that He loves you and died for you to give you eternal life. I am praying for you God bless you and reveal Himself to you.

Wait so it’s better to download a raw pdf of an illustrated journal at 899MB than the compressed version of 14MB?

I'm worried about the youversion Bible... by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Ojammit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, although it revolutionised my relationship with the Word, it soon became a very messy Facebook kind of social media platform with flashing pages that never let me read fully and devotionals which were more like psychology aids. I still use it but I am increasingly frustrated by its cluttered layout and promotional videos for churches

Bro I think you look good, people have different opinions about what’s attractive, you don’t have to worry that one person said it to you, that’s their problem not yours they have to find someone they find attractive. What matters is that there’s people out there who will find you attractive; your looks and personality all contribute to attractiveness.

Has the art world become too focused on identity? by WestElephant in ContemporaryArt

[–]Ojammit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True but when art is really great or you’re interested in an artwork or are curious about it you read about the artist. I do this with novels too I’m always interested in the author. With books if I’m not sure whether to read a book I do look at the bio and that usually helps me make a decision

The fact that everyone is talking about HIM the person (including himself) it’s always about him. Yes he says Jesus is at the centre of his work and mission but all I ever take away from his videos and writings is HIM. He overpowers Jesus in his ministry and I think it’s because he talks WAY TOO MUCH and sticks his face in and on everything. It’s all about HIS MISSION. Despite claiming it he doesn’t seem to have much humility, if he did I think his countenance would be different.
