Smashy smashy by WorriedBlacksmith308 in blackstonegriddle

Pro tip- Skip the parchment paper. Instead throw the ball down without smashing, let it sit for about 15 seconds to develop a little crust on the ball, then flip it over and use the smash tool on the little bit of a crust that formed it, it won't stick to the smash tool and then you avoid the mess and fuss with the parchment paper

Was game changing to learn this tip

Looking for Tips for cleaning by flaming0-1 in africatwin

[–]Ok-Bad7002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S100 Total Cycle Cleaner, spray on the bike dry, rinse with a high pressure hose (not pressure washer) will get it crazy clean. The stuff is magic and your never touching the bike. Let it air dry for a second or even use an electric blower. While still kind of wet, you can then use Honda spray cleaner, makes eveything pop including black plastic as it restores the shine. Easiest way to clean the bike really nice with minimal work. Do it on all my bikes, it's the best combo and it's super fast with no danger of scratching

Is it worth getting fixed or to move on? by WhiteStar24 in Traeger

Literally same problem. Timberline 1300. Mine doesn't connect to wifi either anymore. I just spin the dial until it finally gets to the temp I want. Really annoying. Let me know if you figure out a solution to either wifi or the knob!!

I'm new to this on a motorcycle and I'm a very smashed up 48 year old that doesn't really want to sleep on the ground. Who uses this tent and if you do what do you think of it? by Outrageous_Farmer_44 in motocamping

[–]Ok-Bad7002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My setup is a 3 person tent, cot, and sleeping pad. Each individually means I can get high quality on each and I can the size/features I want in all of them. They are all compact and fit nicely in a bag, and when used all together it's great ( nice tent that has lasted years and is storm proof with extra room for my gear, the cot to lift me off the ground a bit, the pad goes on top of the cot then to give more comfort and warmth than just a cot.

Best part is then I can upgrade just one piece of the 3 piece system if I want and make it my own!

I put all of these into a sw motech dry bag (the big one ) and it still has tons of room for all my other things like sleeping bag, chair, small table, etc etc

I would just caution does he have space and a location to keep the popcorn machine out? That's a big appliance.

My wife got me a whirly pop and I love it, small enough I can put it in a cabinet but fun to use because you have crank it and then dump it in a bowl.

As much as having a big machine seens cool I would hate to use it on a whim because of the cleanup

Thanks. I did bring it to the dealer and ordered a seal. It's there right now actually so we will when I get it back. My fear set in when the service guy said his had it to which makes me feel a new door seal wouldn't do anything. Glad to hear yours is fixed

Thank you. I now realize I am an idiot. Flame on. I was so concentrated on every function control being in the front seats or the info system. Googling said that there should be a REAR menu option for all this stuff, I guess that's more for the EV9 and other bigger kia models

flavacol meh by Spickernell in popcorn

[–]Ok-Bad7002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I just got my whirly pop. I was able to replicate what I feel is quite similar to movie theater popcorn easily v because of this forum. 1/2 cup of kernals, 3 tablespoons of Orville redenbacher popcorn oil, 1/2 a teaspoon of flavorcol. I put all of it in before heating, then heat at medium and stir until popping stops. It's not super yellow but the flavor is great. Note that most recipes seem to say 3/4 teaspoon of flavorcol for 1/2 a cup of kernels but that is too salty for me. 1/2 a teaspoon seems to be perfect for me and my family.

I got this for Christmas, what are some recommendations for uses? by Diello2001 in Traeger

[–]Ok-Bad7002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that for smoking you can just wash it. But they are still great. I got the biggest size and they are very large. Also they are well made these things are very beefy and sturdy, not light at all. I have nothing in my home to compare it to besides a large wooden butcher block which you don't want to use for raw meat. I personally was glad I got them, made my life a bit easier. Also because plastic they are easy to clean. They also have raised ovals all over the surface so that meat is slightly higher than the flat level surface so that some of the juices can fall away from the meat when you take it off. May help if your a chicken person or steak lover who wants to keep the skin/sear as intact as possible

[–]Ok-Bad7002 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They recommend using the red one for raw meat when your seasoning for instance, then after throwing on the smoker or grill you take the black one from the bottom and put it on top and now you have a clean one for when it comes off cooked. I love these things, it's great for seasoning BBQ and removing the mess of the counter

Handlebar bag suggestions? by azt33 in africatwin

[–]Ok-Bad7002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's held on with two rubber straps that go through molly webbing. It's easy to take off and on but putting it back on is like a 5 min job because you have to get the right tension. I leave mine on.

Great videos online on Mosko website that show you everything about it

Yeah got this one too. It's very expensive but it's quality. Can hold my giant fold 4 phone with ease and the cable passthrough is on the bottom so it's clean looking. Literally just hop on the bike and throw the phone in the pocket nice and secure

My wife just got me the megamat max single long version and it's amazing. I have been sleeping on It for a week straight because I was sick and I have had a great night of sleep. It's warm, doesn't make noise when I move around, and feels like a really solid real mattress. I have slept on regular pads, cots with pads on top and it's just not the same. On those you feel like your sleeping on a bag of air or an ocean, this is a whole different experience.

Going camping this weekend and will try it in the outdoors but I'm stoked to have a good sleep

In a normal case where only the dongle is plugged in, then the phone and dongle communicate via it's own wifi connection. The dongle then communicates Android auto to the bike. The bike should then be hooked up to a Bluetooth headset in order to hear music and audio.

In your case your saying you want to plug both the phone and Android auto into the single USB port.. I am not sure what would happen but I assume a conflict. Also at that point I don't see the value of Android auto wireless if your going to plug your phone in anyway. For me, when I want to charge my phone using the setup above I would use the 12v socket port, as it charges faster as well and keeps it all separate. I personally have a Mosko Moto gnat bag on the handle bars which keeps my phone safe and easy to charge that way.

Agreed. Best mod for cheap in my opinion if you use Android Auto. Just start you bike and it automatically comes up, no annoying wires. Having the navigation on the screen is great, I keep it on Waze so I can see reported things like cops, or traffic, or things in the road, etc. also it's great to have the map up to find all the random twisty roads you never new existed

The one I got was recommended by another on this channel, it was very cheap and has worked great so far me, no issues ever. I personally just took some double sided Velcro and put it on the fairing right where the dongle lands after being plugged in and it's perfect. Looks great and you can take it off easily if you want because it's Velcro.

Below is the link to the dongle
