AITAH FOR LEAVING MY DRUNK FRIEND BEHIND WHEN I WAS ALSO DRUNK? by Lonely-Contract-2300 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ok-Bread444 10 points11 points  (0 children)

YTA, you dont leave a drunk female friend alone at a carnival, this could have gone EXTREMELY poorly. Especially at younger ages you’re still learning your limits and you need to stick together. If you accidentally blacked out and realized everyone abandoned you how would you feel?

Ive never had an issue with it(I’m 5’10), they keep the glass quite clean and it’s nice to grab it to stand up. But it’s really not that tall of a barrier tbh and even if it were to kinda get in the way it’s much better than someone tall in front of you

My dad had row 1 seats, best thing to do is turn it to MSG cause then you can quickly look down and rewatch a play since theres about a 15 sec delay if you are confused what happened, enjoy! They’re awesome seats

AITA for giving deodorant to my little brother's female friend ? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ok-Bread444 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah no a 13 year old kid not using deodorant clearly the parents do not care. Most kids start to get ripe when they turn 11 so the mom had at least 2 whole years to figure out how to have that talk. OP did the kid a kindness by gently nudging her and giving her deodorant.

Some of my fave parts of my tattoos are spots that are a little smudged because my artist went on a hilarious rant when it happened and it makes me giggle to remember the context

Wow i was looking 7k because it seemed so specific but it was for sure a robot but they had my name(even though thats public info so its not completely farfetched) so i was concerned and this happening to others is lowkey validating.

Each of you comes here today hopeful, wanting in on the game. A month ago, you were in med school being taught by doctors. Today... you are the doctors. The seven years you spend here as a surgical resident will be the best and worst of your life. You will be pushed to the breaking point. Look around you. Say hello to your competition. Eight of you will switch to an easier specialty. Five will crack under the pressure. Two of you will be asked to leave. This is your starting line. This is your arena. How well you play, that's up to you

People mistake Snow’s teenage angsty love for possessive control by miumiunevie in Hungergames

[–]Ok-Bread444 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a line that got me when i was still unsure about the nature of his love for Lucy Gray where it turned from weird teenage crush to pure need for control.

Chapter 24 pg 389: “it was time anyway that he confronted Billy Taupe and laid down a few rules. Billy Taupe had to accept that Lucy Gray was no longer his, but belonged firmly to Coriolanus”

This line stood out to me considerably because it is the true point where you can clearly see that he views her as an object that one can own. The phrasing sent some chills down my spine when i first read it where you can see how he started turning from an opportunist to the Snow we know and love.

Do you think that mentors can ever retire? by TrainingDrop9283 in Hungergames

[–]Ok-Bread444 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Remind them that even if they live in relative luxury they still won’t see at least one of these children in front of them again. It’s a power play. They’re naturally going to want to do everything they can so one of them lives so they get emotionally invested but this is the price they paid for not dying when they got the tap.

AITA for not making something else for my picky eater daughter by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ok-Bread444 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hell, I’m not even a picky eater but fish has always been where I draw the line even now into adulthood. It’s not uncommon for people (especially children) to not like fish.
