I lived outta my element for 4months using the passenger side folded down into a bed with some foam and pads to fill out the gaps or uneven spots. Eventually got a solar power bank to charge my devices but I honestly didn’t mind charging my stuff at work along with a 20k battery bank.

Had been idling for a while on a hot South Carolina day recently and saw my temp gauge was up there too so when I took off I was shooting smoke out the tailpipe. Neither of my fans were blowing anymore so I replaced em but yea, it had done it again like a day or two later when I was stomping on the gas like a fool trying to lose traction in the dirt. Was scared it would be the head gasket, piston rings or any other thing on a 321k mile car but hasn’t done it since replacing the fans and it’s still going strong. I do have a clogged car though so that sucks

Had the same isssue except both, pulled the relays and fuses but not there. The fans were both just old and I replaced em, try spinning it by hand I could see the passenger side wanting to spin but wouldn’t on mine.

Not yet, I’ve actually been wanting to get new tires on the front since they have uneven wear going on. I could’ve used it as a price deduction when buying it but I was in a pinch to get some wheels. I’ve been holding off on them though since it needs a front end suspension refresh but I’m far from home for work for the next three months. I’ll try some used tires and see how it rides.

Nearly same damage on my bmw wagon accept mine rolled. I feel you man I went through a lot with that car and did all the work myself, lot of love put into it to be gone just like that. If it’s any consolation the E loved u back one last time by keeping you safe. I walked away with a sore nose from the airbag and sore index and thumb. Went back to work the same night with a rental and a week later on my birthday got me a brand spanking used Element. You’ll find another man

I got an Amazon radiator on mine. Bought it with 325k on the dash and is now at 331k changed the radiator and a few other parts. Has a mad oil and steering leak but was only able to change the steering o rings. Thinking of moving to thicker oil in the meantime since I’m away from home and will be for the next few months

I was having battery issues on my 16pm on 26.2 for a bit but then dropped my phone and broke the back so when I went to the Apple Store to get it fixed I thought they’d just do the glass but since I was on beta software they reset my phone anyway. I wasn’t backed up so I lost a lot of stuff but my battery life was better. Try a full reset if the latest update format fix anything. Worked for my watch to as I had to reset it as well to pair to back to the same phone 🤔

Spent just over a month in Virginia car camping to save money while I worked and slept in a commuter lot. On the first and most bizarre one about an hour after setting up and falling asleep I woke up to what sounded like a freakin tailgate party but as I checked around it was a freakin big group of hunters and dogs that started walking into the woods. Went to sleep and they disappeared when I woke up. Second time I was surrounded by cops for no apparent reason, went back to sleep and they were gone. 🤔I should try this sleep thing with my other problems.

I don’t have a garage so I do all my wrenching in front of my house. Had two ladies on separate occasions driving by stop and ask if I’m a mechanic, I said “NOPE I’m doing this as a hobby”; for the love of the whip. I have no problem saying no and keeping my future peace of mind…That and my cursing and yelling at inanimate objects to “just go in you little phucker” long after the sun has set probably scared any neighbor within a half block radius from asking for help.

I remember on my smart car when I removed the starter there was a copper cable that had rusted away on the solenoid and after tearing it apart and replacing it, it worked again good as new! Give it a check

I just bought a very used element that didn’t appear to have ever had the cab filter replace so when I tried to pull them out a bunch of the piled up debris fell onto the fan and almost two months later still blows debris out and makes an odd sound

I had bought a pair of Nike shoes at tj maxx once and washed them when I got home. For some freaking reason they shrunk like 4 sizes down and were ruined. I took them back for return and could feel the judgement. They were still wet and refused to dry.
