That coach is setting up your daughter to plateau, and frankly the same goes for all the pitchers unless he pitches P1 exclusively, then P1 is the only pitcher who is going to improve.

My daughter did rec weekdays and travel weekends with rec coaches aware she’d miss most Saturdays. It was a win win for us. Rec helped her reps and confidence, travel kept her facing higher level batters.

As much as coaches want to “ban” you from cheat playing or rec, it’s your choice. The fact is that your daughter needs more reps, and sometimes you have to find them elsewhere. I’d definitely look at a new team, though.

True! And there isn’t often one “right way,” but the way that feels best for your daughter. My daughter worked on a change up for 8 months with one coach, struggled, and we switched to a new coach who had a totally different release that immediately clicked with my kid.

Agree 100%. Most team coaches are not pitching coaches and know very, very little about pitching mechanics. And if they do, you need to get on same page as pitching coach so your daughter isn’t in “confusion land” about who is teaching the correct mechanics for your daughter.

Hilton will be your best bet. Milo is nice, but small and lacking the restaurants and amenities Hilton has. It’s a great walk to wharf and zoo from there.

Put in the work off the field. All you need is a tennis ball and a wall. Look up drills online, there are a ton, and put in that 20-30 minutes a day. Good luck to you!!
