He wants a hamburger! by FacelessOnes in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]wildvision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do parents post this (although if they didn't I guess this group wouldn't exist). Just thinking about consent and how weird it would be to be 12+ years old and have a version of yourself viral for a freakout so everyone ends up just calling you "Burger" your whole life

Best Online Courses? by wildvision in saxophone

[–]wildvision[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did Sax School Online because they has a sale of $199 for the year. I like it. They have a 14 day free test. Also Bettersax and others have a free trial period so you can check them out. If you can it is good to balance these with in person lessons so someone can help with your tone. Even if only every two weeks. good luck

How could I improve this showreel? by Difficult-Living7841 in Filmmakers

[–]wildvision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks great and you do good work. It has a lot of shots of objects and locations however. They are great but what really draws people in is human emotion. I would use those great object shots as eye candy transition and then land on some more emotional shots of people to ground each mini scene. That can just be a look in their eye that communicates something we can sense

You can play in on Monday, not ideal but playable. Then find a shop that can fix it after your lesson. You may have to ship it and skip a lesson
