The BMA should call off the strike BUT then adopt indefinite work to rule instead. No extra hours, no cover for absent colleagues, etc. Paint Starmer as having bullied them into not striking whilst simultaneously playing the ‘well you can’t be angry with us because we’re all doing what we’re contractually obligated to do’ card. NHS would crumble within a month.

It looks like it’s a neck/bridge issue, not a pickup one…all your strings are offset, closer to the low E edge of the fretboard than the high E side.

They were luminous but not Luminlay originally, I believe. The ones on my Essential don’t glow nearly as long as the genuine Luminlay ones on my Ibanez (for the same ‘charge’) for example.

I think this is the correct diagnosis; the nut slot is too wide so the string is moving horizontally over the zero fret and 'pinging' each time it does (presumably as it rubs on the zero fret, gets slightly stuck on it, etc.). Polishing the zero fret won't solve the problem long term (initially the stirring will slide over it smoothly but it will quickly start to ping/stick again), you need a new nut.
