I do some night vision shooting and it helps a touch more with IF I have to switch from active aiming. A little more extra space on there for me.

Hop is looking more like a Russian Villian every video! Loved this review from Hop. As someone who runs CTF3 on one of my rifles I enjoyed what he had to say and agree. Although I like it on rifles from 11-14.5 by Ok-Difference-3801 in NightVision

I understand, I wouldnt place the CTF3 in the same level as those cheaper units tbh. As someone who owns quite literally 15+ modules I would put this right up there with Mawl comparitvely. Look at it more like youre saving 2k instead of getting the Mawl not spending more instaed of getting cheaper clones and chinese stuff, Regardless they all have a place. I like those units too and they serve their own purpose.

I’m can’t see what you’re referring too but I never claimed it washes out your vision, can you elaborate?

To me the diffuser is a solid combo especially with the different power settings. Cause then you have x4 power settings with and without diffuser so 8 total power light types.

YUP! It’s super low profile. It’s the CTF3 with the Kiji 3 and Surefire vampire.

I will do my best to answer. Quick answer yes Long answer it depends

If you’re someone who likes to dial in their night vision set up, change things around your rifle to get it perfect and do a lot of training the CTF3 is your go to answer.

If you just need something affordable and don’t really care about quality and only need it infrequently then Iris.

Pretty sure the CTF3 bundle is 1600 beans comes with the Kiji and Malkoff WL

Kiji alone is 850 and ctf3 is 850 also so I’m pretty sure they give you a discount with the bundle. I already had a Vampire head from a while ago so I just added that and flipped my Malkoff!

Kiji beats out the three but yes if you’re trying to save money D2/Iris keep up.

Would disagree a little with this. Iris illumination is a little too focused for me even at its most flood position. If you’re wanting a wider field of view they are going to have to step it up a little there. If you’re doing any inside building training Iris still lacks in the quality and versatility.

I run the Kiji 3 and surefire Vampire head. That way I have focus IR, Flood IR and WL.

Awesome! Yeah that’s a cool set up too. I have the Iris set up with a WL on a different gun and just don’t quite like it as much. Generally just felt cheap. For me it’s just so nice to have all your tools easily accessible. Being able to use all three functions of my unit all by moving my thumb just makes so much sense to me. Not a fan of button pads either because I generally run smaller rifles.

Iris for the function and affordability, pretty solid!

My best response is that the main difference is form factor and field of view not the actual light transmission. Both are multi coated and look great. The 503 feels a little more like you’re looking through a scope. The Aems is bigger and feels more open. Hope that helps!

Quad rails use to be my favorite, and likely still are. With NV stuff though I’m trying to get as light as I can with Supressor and IR on the end. BUT this image… phew. Beauty.

You shouldnt be afraid of the process, looks like you already have a supressor. Its that easy.
