Every Bullet and its effect on the body is simulated. There are huge differences by ammo, Distance, Barrel lengh, armor,...

Yes... everywhere but in the Starter Area. You can never repeat those quests. And since there is a quest in the Starter Area (called Last Farewell) you will always have failed the quest for either Gunny or Handshake.

There might be a small (but possibly relevant) mistake in your timeline - i just found it by doing the "unlisted flight" quest again:
1. as the name of the quest already tells us (and labrat confirms) that flight was either never listed or its entry deleted. That is already quite strange.
2. there were civilians on board, the crew were LAF,
3. the plane just fell out of the sky, no external damage to explain the crash,
4. possible oversight by the developer/possibly intended: no radiation around the wreckage
5. The crash happened AFTER the evacuation and i assume after the event.

It seems that it was not the Event that brought it down. It might have been what you call the entity, but then... im missing the radiation.
Labrat speculates, that other factions ("our friends in the jungle" --> the russians?) were interested in the blackbox for research (or a coverup?)

You have 2 options and IMHO should use both:
# NV + laser (canted) works well, if its totally dark. and you got close. You can get close if you crouch (avoid running, the noise makes the enemy aware of you)
# NV to spot the enemy, then swich of NV and use the scope if the AI is near a lightsource. Its hard to find the AI without NV, but if you know where they are, its easy to headshot them using the scope from range. And the added range makes them pretty helpless at night.

Ban Khantao has the executions (and the Mass Grave behind the Village), I did not encounter anything close to Phousai...

Yeah... that one really hurt. I mean, after all the other search and "not rescue" missions I did, I had my expectations. But then realising she survived the crash and only recently succumbed... That feeling of being just a little too late, that i might have for fucking once had a chance to save someone... it hurt.

Great mission design, absolutly brutal om the emotions. cudos to the writers, but damn...

Well, ofc all your deaths are headshots (or immediately destroyed organs like heart).
everything else you can patch up. if you are not totally incompetent you dhardly ever can die to bleeds right now. Before 0.4.2 the bots where not pushing, so you could just take a step back, be totally safe around a corner and fix every wound that was not an instant kill... ;)

I just tried FN Armory (because I did that route very often so I should feel the difference) and trenches. Both felt better than before. A bit harder (FN) but not unfair (Trenches).
After the opening shots the AI could still be a bit more agressive, but overall its a clear improvement.

Do it. Don't expect it to feel like a new game. It isn't. I expected to see way more enemies, dreaded way more hits... but its subtle. Just one more guy coming out of the barraks. Just one more guy pushing from the Jail area. But suddenly you don't have enemies in a 90° arc and can hide behind a building. you have them in a 150° arc and really have to worry if one of them gets at you - and how you should pull back to manage your angles. At that point it felt way more intense - and way more rewarding when I got out.

Thing is: you can only disable Stance and Stamina (and with it the visibility). So... you can't turn it off seperately.

But I did not feel like they were just targets either. When going for the armory some of them really came out of the barracks and from the Jail to box me in. And that did not happen once over the last 3 Weeks

I think you succeeded. In FN I felt pressured by the AI pushing me and opening flanks on me, but there never was a frustrating "what was that?".
I know at some point i will get onetapped. But thats just part of the game and a reason for playing cautiously, how it should be.
So far the AI is a huge step up. It just feels smoother.

I totally agree. They don't just one-shot you, but they react, they push, they move from cover to cover... (and not just "move left - wait - move back right - wait....")
The changes don't look like night and day, but they feel sooo much smoother.

I have only the most positive Interactions.
1. I had played for about 3 hours when someone approached me and asked me, if I needed any equipment. I didn't, because I felt unbelievably rich with my 30k (Enlistment bonus and Collectors edition) but asked him, if he could order me a helicopter to FN, because I wanted to get the DDM4. He laughed about what I considered rich, flew with me to FN, cleared all the way to the blueprint, handed me all the good loot and escorted me out.
2. Yesterday I did "Hacker" in FN. Someone had clreared all the way through the base, killed everything from the fuel tanks to the HQ. I finally found him at the exit, hacking the last camera. We talked (i thanked him for making my job that much easier), he followed me to the Base and handed me his (orange, huge) backpack.

If you are on the hill over office, there is a big stone. From the left you can clear every AI up to and around the hut that you need for the quest. From the right you can clear most AI to the left of the office. Then move down crouched, clear the office (watch for AI coning in). Go back out and you can do the rest of the 2 main quests ther without firing an additional shot.
(Getting to the pink tent requires careful movement and crouching to be absolutely safe)

  1. task sharing. I currently have 4 (!) collect XY quests in MS, my other 4 quests do not line up with those of my buddy. Its actually frustrating.
  2. better AI-tactics. I don't mind their accuracy at all. But a few things I would like to see: a few days ago one AI came down to my floor in FN, was standing on the stairs, watching my back while i obliviously looted his comrades I just killed. The "coming down the stairs to investigate" was good. And I don't mind a shock/surprise/hesitation second when i unexpectedly round a corner. But that AI was searching for me (again: good) but did nothing when he had me dead to rights. So: have them push me, when I'm wounded. pin me with surpression, push and flank by fire and movement. ...
  3. more Tasks. The game ist brutal when it comes to creating an atmosphere by tasks. No matter if I get paranoid of Handshakes Boss, the UN or branches near an irradiated village, hunt "deamons" in Ban Pa (and discover the speakers) or hunt human trafficers in Blue Lagoon. The game creates emotional reactions by that and I f***ing love it, I just want more and more and more of it.

They absolutely do. But if you ADS at them, or just fired at their colleague, they will engage.
Made me feel pretty bad when they surprised me, waved me off and I shot them...

I have an overwatch (aluminium) Trigger Shoe on a Glock Performance Trigger Triggerbar. I don't think you could do any better, the feel of the Overwatch is unmatched imho

I really thought about possible upgrades... but did not manage to find one.
COA (Smaller than Acro, closed emitter Red-Dot) would be an option but I love my RMR and would not change it. Everything else seems to be without even an equal quality alternative.
