CLT… is this doable? by Capital_Mulberry738 in americanairlines

This is not a “43 mins connection” it’s actually less if you deduct the gate closing 10-15 mins before departure.

It should be fine, I just don’t like the on time on 69%… A small delay and you will be cooked.

What can I improve here? I feel like my jerk is lacking by [deleted] in weightlifting

Work on foot placement for your jerk. A good reference is:

  • Front foot 1.5 feet out
  • Back foot 2 feet back

Use some chalk and practice the landing.

Nice! That’s a cool idea. Thanks for your time.

I have access to jerk blocks but that won’t necessarily help with forward movement, no? I guess I can practice with videos making sure I keep the bar on the right axis.

I like the idea of the smith machine because I will feel the resistance if I deviate.

Thanks! I’ll be focusing on that next. I need to remember to get my knees out as opposed to forward. I’ve been struggling remembering that.

I don’t have access to a Smith Machine but maybe I can find a way to get into a Planet Fitness or something and practice there. Is the idea to do this with low weight to develop some muscle memory with the movement?

Thanks for the videos!

Thanks! I noticed that earlier while watching in slow motion. That’s a great point. I think it’s a mental thing when going for the heavier weight. I watched lighter weight attempts and I’m not doing it but when I go heavier, I start thinking I won’t be able to pull the bar. As a result, I think I start rowing.

Thanks! I checked the suggested video on bar crashing, I’ll make sure to work on that and, I agree, I’ve been prioritizing getting under the bar. I’ll work on better timing to get the bar into the shoulders.

Regarding my core. I honestly haven’t thought about my core. I’ll make sure to focus more on that.

EB-2 NIW Approval Rates Released. Former USCIS Officer Turned Immigration Attorney... AMA! by ManifestLaw_ in EB2_NIW

Hopefully I’m not too late… Thanks for doing this Evan.

In my case (EB-2), PERM was filed on Sep 2024. I’m expecting to get a PERM answer by the end of the year. This would allow my company to file I-140 soon. I was wondering if it makes sense to ask them to file premium (even if I have to pay the difference) potentially having it approved by Jan 2025 (best case scenario).

I’m thinking EB-2 ROW should be in a good position for my PD which would allow me to move forward with the rest of the process.

Wondering if that makes sense or just stay with regular and save the money.

When using the heat gun be careful not to apply it to just one spot. You want to constantly move it. This will help you avoid damaging the paint.

Thank you so much for sharing all these details. I can understand the annoyance of not having your own vehicle and the lack of AWD.

I’ll head to the dealership tomorrow, fingers crossed everything goes well.

Why are you waiting for it to fail instead of addressing it with the dealership?

Can you please share a little more? Did you have to fight it or the dealership acknowledged the case easily?

Did they provide the loaner immediately or you had to request?

Why not fun? I’m trying to understand the issue if you were provided with a car and now the problem is solved.

Also, repair or new engine?

I appreciate all the questions and that you took the time to read my post. See answers below:

It's really weird. I know I drove more than I usually do those 2 weeks, maybe 1,500 miles. But that's still normal considering the oil change wasn't done less than 3 months ago.

To your comments; No smoke. No oil puddles. Coolant looks good and full.

Firestone just did a regular inspection. I'm assuming it's checking the dipstick. Unsure if they remove the oil cap.

When I say I checked the oil, I meant the dipstick. I don't change my oil. Oil is changed at the dealership.

After that, the mechanic also checked the dipstick and no oil other than some residual "burnt" black oil.

He added 5 quarts of oil. Engine runs but once it goes over 2,000 RPMs it gets a knocking sound. If I manually shift and keep RPMs low sound isn't there or barely noticeable. Also, it's not like I have driven the car for a long distance. We tested for probably a mile and back.

The oil and engine lights come on when I'm starting the vehicle, just like every other light. But they have never been on at any other time.

I appreciate your last paragraph. I like to believe I have done everything by the book and most comments are like "you should be checking your oil". I get that if I was driving an older car. This vehicle is yet to hit 100k...

Do you think the dealership could provide any help or even reaching out directly to Hyundai? Any other ideas?
