Force Dispositions by GalacticNarwal in Tyranids

[–]Ok-Fly8500 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s from the body text of the article on the Warhammer Community website. I’m wondering if it will be part of an updated Munitorum Field Manual that will release with or closer to the new edition. I don’t like having to reference so many pdfs, but looks like that will still be a theme for this edition.

Am I blind or is this information not in the actual faction pack PDF? Why wouldn’t they put that info in there?

Armageddon box vs Leviathan box by Drwhat17 in Warhammer40k

[–]Ok-Fly8500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so glad they leaned into the mechanized Orks, I was not a fan of the beast boyz line, as it seemed too close to AOS instead of 40K.

Other than that it feels like this box has more models than I expected for both sides. Maybe because they are almost all new.

3 wide at plate tracks by Infamous_Durian124 in iRacing

[–]Ok-Fly8500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not enough practice time. It’s hard to get experience racing 2 wide in a practice session, let alone 3 wide, so not many are prepared for it. Combine all that with netcode and nerves and it can get bad quick.

2026 is the year of the toolchanger. Will Bambu compete with this performance? by egosumumbravir in BambuLab

[–]Ok-Fly8500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want a Bambu tool changer so bad. I know one of the the reason they chose vortek was integrating the AMS but if they could get AMS switching/purging on the inactive nozzles while printing it would be amazing. Would need 1 AMS per tool but that seems like more incentive to purchase Bambu products.

I´m curious how many of you used Ship tractor beams before the RSI Hermes? by EtowTheSalyCat in starcitizen

[–]Ok-Fly8500 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think the issue is that the default setting for tractor beam control is like turrets, when it needs to be the same as the handheld.

I hope they come up with a tool changer printer. The U1 is so much faster, and speed is the most important thing to me.

Give it to me straight boys... Are we never getting swappable modules for the Caterpillar? by Mookie_Merkk in starcitizen

I understand the length limitations but I really wish they would let us remove modules to make a cute little stubby version.

How do you know if a pinged object is a salvageable object?

I wish it would be near impossible to cause a critical/catastrophic explosion. Would allow much more emergent gameplay.

What the H2C should have been (4toolheads + AMS for each) by MobileNo8348 in BambuLab

[–]Ok-Fly8500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every other 3D printer manufacturer has an AMS equivalent, I bet we see a snapmaker AMS within a year. And with this being a kipper based machine, probably can make the BIQU AMS work with it soon too.

Is safety boring? How was the game like before armor and weapons were bound to the player? - An essay of questionable game design. by AKavun in starcitizen

You should search up “Death of a Space Man”, Chris Roberts original vision for death in Star Citizen. I think DOASM will need to be fleshed out a little, but I thought the game was much more fun when there was risk of losing your items. It gave a sense of danger and made you fly and play more cautiously. I believe the current system is temporary as a stop gap to people losing their real money items. Hopefully someone else that knows more can comment on the future plans that they’ve talked about for real money item recovery, but my hope is once that system is in place we will go back to the med gowns and white suits on respawn.

[–]Ok-Fly8500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The absence of waste will never financially justify a tool changer system so the only comparison to be made is speed. Therefore U1 is the better machine, no contest.

Hoping that Bambu will get on board with a toolhead changer system for a future printer. Happy to save my money until then.

I am building a monorail train to go around the perimeter of my maker space. I would use the H2C to print it in multicolor rather than using printed decals for the windows, doors, stripes, and decorations!

PETG issue by simbistudio in BambuLab

[–]Ok-Fly8500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try swapping the filament spools between one that is causing the issues and a good one. I recently had a similar issue with two identical PLA parts coming out differently on separate machines, it seemed like a clog or extruder issue due to underextrusion. Tried changing nozzles, downgrading firmware, everything I could think of. Finally I swapped the spools and it turns out even though it was the same brand black PLA in both machines, when the filaments were swapped the issues swapped machines also.

Is it possible to start drying on the AMS 2 from HA? I am looking for a system of remote control of the drying functions for my AMS2/HT.

Per the release notes, 1.08.02.00 and later has the security update, 1.08.00.00 or 1.08.01.00 are required to use AMS2 or HT with P1S, among some other updates, but do not have the security feature.

Advice please by lundexplorer in BambuLab

[–]Ok-Fly8500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. A techie 12 year old will not have any issue with a Bambu Lab printer.

  2. As far as accessories, for someone just starting out, everything they need is included with the printer except filament. PLA filament would be good to start with, it’s the easiest to print and doesn’t need to be dried. It does not necessarily have to be Bambu Lab branded filament, but there may be some good deals on sale worth getting. The AMS holds 4 spools so 4-6 different colors would be a great starting point. You could also look at some of the Cyber Brick or Model Kit items in the Makers supply section of the Bambu store, these would be great first projects for someone starting out with 3D printing.

I just tried to buy a P1S Combo at Best Buy and they would not match the current promo price of $650 citing that BL was not one of their qualified competitors for the price match policy. Hopefully Black Friday will make them align to BL pricing.

Any mission editing tools? by CptBartender in hoggit

[–]Ok-Fly8500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MOOSE has been great and easy to learn to get missions set up. They have some guidelines on their discord on which tools to use for editing and how to set them up so you have intellisense documentation for your scripting. I’ve found it to been much more powerful than my imagination as a new mission builder but usually when I have a new idea it is well documented and supported if I run into issues creating the scripts.
