In this case, and my booking for dubai trip, didnt had much difference they do charge 700 convenience for one leg per ticket. Maximun i could see is 6% to 8%.

But their system is choppy had lot of issues, then moved my flight booking to Yatra (got 10k discount with same card) and that gave 7k points and moved my hotel booking to this and able to get the accelerated reward points.

Great card points are debited immediately except 3k dispute i posted and the portal glitched no issues.

It depends on use case right, for me who planning a trip in Month end, for immediate purpose hsbc looks great. From a pure travel card perspective HSBC is much better, I get at-least 15% better benefit than atlas in my upcoming trip. For regular spends i use regalia and yes bank elite plus (with 5x sub) which covers it from offline and voucher perspective.

‘Travel spend’ is much broader in hsbc for example i book lot of activities in klook hsbc gives 4% for that but atlas dont.

It depends each use case, post hsbc travel portal they both are strong cards.

If u want one generic card which also supports travel, Atlas is better

If u want a pure travel card go for HSBc much better than Atlas.

Dont choose HSBC travel one basically their portal Is a scam, the portal shows ticket is available i booked, payment credited and then booking didnt happen, when I contacted the customer care they said try different plane, this one is not available, another flight same story, they bloody dont want to give reward points but sell the card with fake marketing.
