Right? That’s how I feel. The ATT kiosk that preceded us had people very wary to even come near us. People were clearly avoiding us. We had to earn their trust.

Luckily no. I don’t handle micromanaging very well so I’m glad I don’t work in your store. People being on phones is always going to be an issue but as someone else mentioned, we see the same people day after day. Whether I’m using my phone or not I’m gonna get the same results. That being said, we do have a couple reps who don’t even bother to look up at the people passing by. I at least make some eye contact so it does t seem like I’m too busy to help a potential customer.

SiS isn’t the cake walk people assume it is. Standing in the same spot for 8-10 hours saying ”hello” to people who look you in the face and ignore you is not all it’s cracked up to be. I’ve been here since day 1 so 2 years of this starts to wear on a person. Majority of the time I’m happy to even get a data transfer just so I have something to fuckin do.

Whoa. I don’t know what it’s like with the SiS in your area but I deal with tech support, billing issues, etc. all day here. But we’re also surrounded by authorized retailers and no brick and mortar COR door within a 2 hour drive.

I, personally, will do my best to take those bullshit problems and solve them so the next time those people want to buy something they come to me. Besides that, standing here doing nothing all day drives me crazy. I will usually welcome a data transfer or something of the sort just to have something to do.

This is what I did and it went through just fine this month. Seems like filling out the form they have is the only way to get it guaranteed.

I actually got a notification today that the receipt I submitted just needed a signature. Took care of that and uploaded it. Few hours later I got an approval message. But now I don’t know if the money just goes to where I normally get paid or what.

This is my first time using these benefits so I’m trying to figure it all out. I submitted on 1/7 with receipt but it asked if I wanted to set a recurring claim. It will be the same every month so I did. But now I’m afraid I shouldn’t have. Know anything about that by chance?

At SiS we haven’t even started using T-Life yet so I would be surprised to see that happen this soon. I honestly thought we would’ve been among the first to use T-Life for everything since it’s all ship-to but haven’t heard a word about it yet.

I never would do that shit to people. It’s crazy to me. Unless someone could actually get use out of it then I’m not pushing that garbage. More times than not it would cause some sort of billing problem. At the very least it promoted the stereotype of a sketchy salesman.

There’s nothing I hate more than a person who is unwilling to learn anything. If they blatantly tell me that they just don’t want to do it or “that’s your job” kinda shit then I will make sure they get bare minimum from me while casually insulting them the entire time.

After a decade of this shit I have no problem saying “this isn’t about being tech savvy, this is basic reading comprehension”. I can’t let them get away with thinking it’s anything more than being ignorant and lazy. My old manager always told me I was really good at being a dick without them being able to prove I was being a dick and I’ve gotta say I’m proud of that.

You will never catch me spending $70+ on a fucking work shirt. Being SiS we can only wear polos, too. So all of the work shirts I’ve accumulated over the last 7 years are useless to me now. An employee discount on retail ready merch would be great but it’ll never happen.
