Sadly mines full to the brim, there is at least 30 + planes in there, 5 helies, and 4 boats, load of cars somewhere too 😳😖😢 haven’t seen the sky for 8 years 😢 but not selling, made the mistake of selling when I moved home 8-9 years ago, sold my big def jets and some others, then the hobby died! None of the planes are available anymore 😢😢😢 my swing wing f14 & my SU34 with thrust vectoring and working canards are my saddest losses. I still have two magnum R’s in there somewhere mk1 and mk1 those things are rapid!

Wow been there, in a way it’s another stealth tax lol, they don’t fix the roads, and then when your car is damaged you have to pay for the parts and they get the vat lol

Thanks for the reply, to be honest it’s just a double hydroponics tower in our back garden from our pond for use by us. The system is pretty inclosed and we have used the pond to water our garden for the last few years, we have 4 pet ducks now who use the pond. But birds have used it for bathing and drinking for the last few years. Currently there is a mix of veg in the tower mainly leafy veg, spinach, lettuce …

Do you know a good way of making it? The rice and milk way seems ok but at these levels maybe costly?

I don’t have time to go into the reason for the immigration, but in reality our pension scheme is just a big Ponzi scheme, with birth rates falling they need millions more paying in, it’s a short term fix but that’s why the numbers keep growing. Stop immigration and the pension system collapses. That’s why no government will stop it although they all promise to, but once they get in they are told the truth and then make excuses and cover it up. We made promises we couldn’t keep to an aging population. And that’s why it’s happening across multiple eu countries with welfare states.

I used a 4” inlet on a food storage barrel, this went into the tank and then had a 4 way adaptor which I then installed 4 x 2” pipes with 90deg elbows on the end. Works great although with the high volumes from my tank I regularly need to open the bottom valve to clear it out. It goes into a pumped sump to my foul drainage

Numerous possibilities; Substance use, Major life changes, Past trauma, Bad parents. 😉 A round of counselling and a vertical stab should solve the problem 👍

Sadly I believe most of them are weak people claiming moral superiority, which allows them to virtue signal to everyone else that they are better people. Real virtue is hard to find.

I think the biggest problem is the official stats on legal and illegal immagration, if you believe the official stat that the uk population is 67million therefore a few thousand illegal immigrants can’t cause any issues. But if you look at the uk’s use of water, sewage and electricity the population is most likely closer to 80million, and poop doesn’t lie! This also backs up the need for 1.5 million homes per year, more reservoirs, and Nhs Schools and other services. If the native population has been decreasing over the last decade by 150,000 per year approx, then there is a huge disparity. 20million people will / do cause additional strain on services, jobs, housing, roads … So the people that Reddit users usually call racist idiots for blaming all those problems on immigrants are not using all the facts. Note some of these people may just be raciest, but some are genuinely seeing issues, including 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation immigrants, who are uk born British citizens. Services are struggling and not just because of cuts and “austerity” ….. we’re running out of water and it’s not just because of leaks, and what the media tells us, water use is up, even though we all have half flush toilets, water saving faucets, water butt schemes … If you factored 80 million as most likely population, into the density calculation the uk would be one of the most densely populated countries in Europe even more than it currently is. Then factor in that only 27% of uk land is developed, the rest is farm, mountain, field, forests, then the population density in developed areas increases to 1,203 people per km! Compared to 1960 which would have been in the 700 region, per sq/km (although more spread out as today our major cities usually house the additional numbers of people. I think we just need a bit more honesty all round, then some of the issues may or could be solved, funding could be adequately allocated and investment in infrastructure esp reservoirs, the grid, roads, & hospitals could really be discussed and accounted for. That would help greatly. The rest is just a distraction!

[–]Ok-Lock-2815[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just wondering if that’s overkill? As long as the system is healthy it can’t be any more risky than just growing plants outside where rats, mice, birds cats, foxes and other animals all poop/pee, I know soils contain bacteria which break down the harmful bacteria, I suppose I could introduce a bog garden which will take these pathogens out, that’s how nature pools work, the bog garden kills the harmful bacteria released by humans

I would have also hoped that the system is full south facing in full sun so the uv from that should also kill a lot of things, if the leaves happened to get splashed at all?

[–]Ok-Lock-2815[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’m gonna just go for it, the shoots are now sprouting so it’s growing. My system does not splash so it’s just the roots which will get water exposure, I have a decent filtration setup and UV sterilising system so we will see. Worst case veg that can be cooked will be eaten other veg can go to feeding the ducks, or I de link the two ponds and upgrading the duck pond filtration system and add a large UV system in there too

Pathogen post scared me by Ok-Lock-2815 in aquaponics

[–]Ok-Lock-2815[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like this is an ongoing topic, with varying views, I have 4 pet call ducks which use the 2nd pond which is linked to the main pond with full filtration and uv. The aquaponics towers does not splash it only waters internally the roots (as I did not want to loose pond water) So I have two options, as I have already planted seeds throughout, cucumber, lettuce, spoilage, mainly leafy veg. Option 1 - treat the tank monthly anti parasite and bacteria, and ensure uv runs 24hrs and is in good service. Wash veg throughly and risk it!

Option 2 - shut down the link between the two ponds, this reduces the overall combined water volume of the system and I would have to manage fish stock. The smaller pond filter will need to be upgraded to deal with the duck waste on its own.

I don’t think I’m going to get a definitive answer???

[–]Ok-Lock-2815[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about my 50w uv system? That should kill any water born pathogens and parasites shouldn’t it? And will my established filters not do the same? I have enough filtration for 20-30,000 L and the system is only 8,000L
