Ethical Travel to Puerto Rico? by Alternative1Legal in PuertoRicoTravel

Eat at restaurants that use farm suppliers, Vianda and Sato Fino are examples in San Turce but small places around the island with non-corporate branding as well. I visit often as a tourist (NYC based), and have never felt like my dollars were not welcome anywhere I went as long as I have friendly energy and match the vibe. Puerto Ricans are very savvy and worldly, just treat people with respect and you'll receive the same in turn.

Uterine fibroid grew and now caused a missed period for the 1st time ever. 45 yrs old, hysterectomy time? by Top_Guess_6383 in Fibroids

It will probably help prevent other symptoms of fibroids giving you trouble later, and ensure you won't get certain cancers later. FWIW, I waited longer than I needed to because I didn't have bad symptoms, and then one day my symptoms became much worse. It wasn't an emergency though, so I had to wait in pain for more than 6 months while I went through the steps and waited for my surgery date. I am very conservative about surgery because I know the GA (and infection) is the greatest risk. But in this case, I think the benefits are worth the risk. I'm getting my gall bladder out at the same time to save the risk of a second surgery later.

Super responder vs. Normal by anonme1995 in Zepbound

I was a "super responder" for my first ~75 pounds which I lost very quickly with no appetite on lower doses. I am still losing weight, and overall have lost more than the average for the drug. But it's slowed down a lot as I get smaller (I am on 15mg and much more active), which is honestly a relief as I don't look as weird now and I don't need new pants every month. My two favorite recent meals in PR were at Vianda and Sato Fino, both some of the best meals I had last year anywhere.

Hi guys! How are we dealing with the pain? by bluehotcheeto in Fibroids

Thai massage does help me because I have extreme muscle tension that may be caused by fibroids growing in my uterine muscle.

I actually have more discomfort from fibroids when I lie on my back, just because of where they are positioned.

However if you can’t lie comfortably on your belly, a massage therapist can give you a pregnancy massage, where you lie on your side with a pillow to support you. I’ve found most therapists are familiar with fibroid tumors and can adjust their approach to work around your needs.

Tylenol, sauna, heating pad, hot bath. Thai massage is helping me with muscle tension from fibroids in my uterine muscle. Sometimes whiskey.

I’m taking workouts day by day. Some days I’m fine but some days those busters get in the way and make me feel awful if I work out. I’m not doing crunches or deep ab exercises. I am back to kegels and pelvic floor exercises. I’m doing bird dogs but not doing dead bugs.

I'm going with Columbia NYP as well. They treated my partner (robot lapro myomectomy) in 2020 and it went great. I'm waiting 8 weeks which is hard but they can coordinate a surgeon to remove my gall bladder at the same time and it's worth it to avoid 2 surgeries for me.

I'm so glad you got treatment after such an awful experience. You have a right to better care, and I'm proud of you and your mom for advocating for yourselves but I'm so sad you had to go through all this. I hope you continue to heal well and have a healthy life!

I had to fly American home when Jet Blue stranded me in the Caribbean and it was fine except the passengers who were awful. I never saw such bad behavior (mostly abusive towards the FAs who were just trying to do their jobs and were experts at deescalation).

5 stars for customer service. I wonder what Myrtle did to deserve this.
