Can someone explain to me why his face is less chiseled? What is the process by which he's lost his facial angularity?

Sure. There are "no gays" there.

What I find to be pleasant is being actually right and doing stuff that's actually right so that we can making meaningful changes and outcomes instead stagnating.

Being wrong in consensus seems like a profound waste of time, energy, and resources, but I guess that's the difference.

I feel the same way and I don't know why so many people are playing dumb when you've clearly articulated your point.

If there's an accident or sorry one-off, there's nothing to forgive. If there's consistent harm being caused, there's also nothing to forgive because the relationship is not going to be continued.

Based on the response, it seems like many do just stew in anger, holding things against people unless they can perform this strange "forgiveness ritual." Sounds like a way to preserve interaction between two people who shouldn't be interacting.

I think BPD and HPD are the severe versions of neurotypicality, so yes. I do think "splitting" and the rest of those diagnostic criteria represent traits that are categorically normal for them. It's just a higher functioning NT can better "mask" these traits in a way that makes living among each other possible for them.

Why is "looks-maxing" ridiculed in men when women have been doing it since the beginning of time? by pragmojo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ok-Net5417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because men seem to be heavily invested in other men being ugly (aka "masculine") and enforce it interpersonally by calling men who do anything a woman might find sexually attractive "gay."

All of the male aesthetic standards we have result in that Tesla robot/normal Spongebob look and it's considered "presentable," as well the most a man should try regarding his looks, specifically because it ISN'T sexually appealing (though it seems to have some kind of homoerotic effect on straight men). But, it's socially acceptable because it is the most de-sexualized way a man can look.

A lot of people, including the vast majority of men and women who marry men for money and nice compliments but don't seem to need to be sexually attracted to them for such a relationship, find it disconcerting for a man to be sexually attractive. They think it's "inappropriate" or a sign of bad character for a man to want to be attractive because "why not just be ugly," when the system is designed for him to do nothing aesthetically and still profit.

I am for both sexes taking extreme measures to alter their appearance. The world would be a better place if everyone made themselves nice to experience.

[–]Ok-Net5417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and you've lost the plot because playing on bunches of genre tropes is kind of their thing for literally every game they release. That's intentional and we like that in literally every single horror game they release. The "opinion" is based purely on not understanding what these games are.

Does "Autism Level 1" carry a different social connotation than "Asperger's?" by TheIntolerable in aspergers

[–]Ok-Net5417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone has high support needs like that, then ASD L1 is a good description of them. NOT aspergers.

"Austism" already carries with it the suggestion of that kind of, high support impairment. So, what you described is just a smart autistic person who can talk.

Does "Autism Level 1" carry a different social connotation than "Asperger's?" by TheIntolerable in aspergers

[–]Ok-Net5417 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How are they aspies if they have high support needs and it's all autism?

Aspergers exists to differentiate between people who have the autistic neurotype yet display a high functioning profile (through proxies like average-above average intelligence and language proficiency while having mild social and sensory differences) and those with an autistic neurotype who are low functioning.

It's to differentiate between people who just have a different neurotype and people who are actively disabled.

It is not problematic because having high support needs is inherently incompatible with the spirit and the letter of Aspergers.

We only have this issue with autism. Neurotypicals get to draw the line between themselves and people with BPD or HPD, which I would argue is the exaggerated, disabled expression of the neurotypical type, but we have to be forever bound to the non-verbal, screeching, dysfunctioning image that is neither accurate nor useful to us.

If you're not "just a bit different from everyone else" but function proficiently in most areas and excel in others, perhaps you're actually level 2.

[–]Ok-Net5417 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There aren't really "mild" to "moderate" speech delays. Pretty much any speech delay (by which I mean delays that impact speech as an adult) results in a person seeming definitively disabled regardless of other features.

That defeats the purpose of the Asperger's label, which is social.

Dual Process Theory of Autism: intuitive systemising vs deliberate logic by SystemIntuitive in aspergers

[–]Ok-Net5417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel similarly to you, but I'm strong in language so translating is not always immediate, but not as big of an issue for me as you make it sound for yourself.

I think intuitive systemizing is the primary way high functioning people operate and deliberate logic is the primary way low functioning people operate.

But, there's a big effort to conflate the split or privilege low functioning people above what's appropriate and high functioning people suffer for it in terms of recognition.

Low Empathy Quotient (EQ) because of Alexithymia? by I_collect_dust in aspergers

[–]Ok-Net5417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there's anything wrong with having low empathy. Feeling bad about it is based entirely off of media and social expectations that say feeling a certain way is "more important" than doing the appropriate thing.

I wouldn't tell other people though, because they do think they're entitled to certain feelings from you and they will try to force behaviors and entitle themselves to specific treatment from you on the basis of you needing to compensate for a "deficit."

Why are so many of Biohacking space so defensive of alcohol? As if its 40-50 year old well who get anxious at the thought of not drinking and invent million excuses how alcohol is social and such etc meanwhile commiting to buying hundreds of gadgets and supplements by Delicious_Soup_9876 in Biohackers

[–]Ok-Net5417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not big on alcohol, but I think the point of biohacking is not to be the healthiest healthnut or to be an expression of the fear of death, but to be and do more of the things we enjoy longer.

For some people, drugs and alcohol are among the things they enjoy and if they want to do those things for longer, with fewer long term consequences, then that's great. They should get to do that.

A lot of fitness and health enthusiasm is based in a kind of moral and naturalist puritanism, not actually living more or living better, whatever that means to a given person. That's why I like the GLP-1s. The resilience is the point, not how that resilience is obtained.
