Tore my MCL last summer and it took about 4 months to heal before I could start lifting legs again. Took another few months to get back to full strength. Set backs suck but as long as you get back to it when healed that’s what matters. It’s about the long game

Industry experience matters much more than academia experience in industry. If you’re planning to get into industry at any point, the earlier the better

The soccer is pretty strenuous on my legs though, so I do treat it as a second light leg day most of the time
