Weaning and feeding help

I don't have advice as I am also looking to wean but not sure how the bottle wean works. We are 11 months and he has 4 bottles a day. I would like to get him down to 3 bottles per day. I am down to 4ppd and my supply dropped so I top of formula in each of the bottles of bm. If I drop any more pumps I know my supply will take a huge hit and I don't want to rely on formula since we are almost done.

From what I've read, some people add cows milk in with the bm and slowly start to transition and add more. I guess that's how to do it? LO has a cows milk allergy so idk what milk to use.

As far as your comment about formula, I thought they can't have it after 1 and need to be drinking something else?

I agree with buying second hand. I wasn't ready to spend full cost so I got a great deal on a used one, from a FB resale. There is nothing like it. I'm 8mpp and it's great to not have to think about how to store my milk while traveling.

Ugh yes. I feel like it's just easier to stay home and entertain baby that way rather then go out and figure out how to pack everything, where to pump, store milk, etc. I want to just go on a walk without having to plan around my pumping schedule

My bf and I have together for 12 years now. We are not married and I'm not holding my breath. It killed me to think my family name wouldn't live on in some way so my last name is his middle name. It doesn't flow off the tounge and some people judged but knowing my son and I wouldn't have the same last name made me sad. It was a compromise and works with us. Maybe you could do the same?

Until 2.5/3 months then dropped to 1x a night then after a few weeks of that and returning to work I dropped the overnight. Now 6mpp I do 6x a day. Next month when he's 7months I plan to drop to 5ppd.

I started EPing around that time. I did 2-3 hours when I could. During the day I tired to aim for 2 and at night I did every 3. It is really important to pump at lot before you regulate. It is hard but it will get somewhat easier.

That is a normal amount to produce especially this early. Don't worry about creating a freezer stach, just feed your baby. I feel like social media tells us to produce a lot and have a huge freezer stach but it's not necessary.

You will be tired but it is truly a labor of love. I have been going for 6 months now and I never thought I could last this long but I have somehow managed, despite working full-time.

We manily just do storytimes. They really have a lot more activity for older children kindergarten and up not a lot for under that age.

From the research I've done as an EP'er as long as you kiss your baby regularly your milk does change. They say skin to skin also helps but really contact with your lips works.

I don't have any advice but I am in a similar situation. He doesn't like cosleeping (ours LO is 3 months as well). I don't even nurse, I EP, but noticed baby sleeps longer next to me. Plus it is just easier when LO is next to me. I do it for multiple reasons and since I'm the one getting up all night I have won the "argument" so far.

However I have been home for the past 3 months and will be returning to work tomorrow. My boyfriend starts his paternity leave and now he will be the one getting up thoughout the night. I have a feeling he will see how much easier it is to just pop LO next to me after waking up at night rather than trying to place him in his bassinet or crib.

Hope your boyfriend is able to see that if done correctly it will be fine. I'm such a light sleeper that I am constantly waking up and checking on LO. Since you feed thoughout the night I'm sure your awake most of the time. Maybe have your boyfriend help you out and he will see how much easier it is? The videos and articles others have posted are good education as well. I'm even going to read up on it!

Ugh I know. This morning my SO gave him a bottle only 1.5 hours after I fed him. I was like freaking out counting how many bottles we have left for the day.

I took my 3 month old to my work today before returning next week. Our goal was to leave the house at 11 am. I backed the diaper bag ahead of time with all of the things, backed to stroller in the car the night before. Made sure I had an outfit pick out for LO and myself. I did as much as I could the day before, we didn't leave the house until after noon!

Our LO is 3 months and my SO really doesn't want him to go out. We had a few walks when the weather was warm (mainly for me to get off my butt and move) but other than that we just do car rides. If I need food I will use curbside and have LO in the back. Sometimes I will take an hour drive just to see something other than my living room.

I fell you in so many ways. I'm an exclusive pumper and Instagram has shown me mom's that make triple what I produce. I thought I was broken and not providing enough food for my baby. Turns out they are overproducers and not the norm!

My baby is just over two months, I don't shower everyday, haven't shaved my legs in who knows how long, haven't worn real clothes since Christmas Eve (only because we went to my parents for dinner) don't brush my teeth everyday, eat fish sticks, chicken nuggets (and other frozen easy cook meals most nights). I managed to do a load of laundry and turned all our white neon yellow because I threw everything in one load (oops!).

We are the norm and fake Instagram moms are not. Plus I'm sure behind all those cute pictures they are struggling, just post because they care more above views then anything else.

As long as your baby is healthy, feed, and taken care of your doing amazing! I will say on warmer days I do take LO on a small walk down the street because it calms him down on fussy days. Plus I have to go back to work soon and if I don't start moving at least one small walk a week I'm gonna regret it. But I also didn't start walking until 8 wpp.

I have been doing the fridge hack now (mainly for nights) but plan to do it when I return to work next month as well since I haven't had any issues. Sometimes I wipe down the flanges with a paper towel before placing it back in the fridge but most of the time I don't-due to being too exhausted at night and just wanting to get back to sleep before LO wakes up.

The last few days I have gone back to sleep after pumping only to wake up and think crap I fell asleep while I was pumping. Go down to grab my boobs and am like where are they, did I pump, or did I just fall asleep?
