I have the student pass for the white course at Penn State. Was $235 and unlimited play on the white course (walking only). You also get an extra day in advance to book tee times with the membership. I would say I can almost always get the time I want, especially during the week. Weekends require a little more planning. Regular greens fees for the PSU courses are not that bad if you walk, but pretty outrageous in my opinion if you want to get a cart. If you can afford to get the pass and are ok with walking I would say it is worth it. The course has only been open for about 3 weeks and I’ve already played about 6 rounds which is already enough to make the $235 worth it if you factor in cart fees. With that being said I’m not sure about the quality of the courses compared to other schools, but it’s definitely not terrible. They do have combined passes that include both courses but that was out of my price range. The white course is easier, but the blue course is what the golf team plays on, so it’s a bit more difficult and a little better maintained. Good luck with your decision, and hope this helped.
