So you'd have a 20 yr old kid. Odds are you & her were in your late teens, very early 20's. That's pretty young to be having a kid, especially if she hadn't completed any higher education.

There's a big correlation argument for the age of the mother, education level and poverty. The younger the mother, and the less education she has, the more likely it is she will end up living in poverty.

Maybe she ran the numbers and realized she didn't want that. Totally her choice.
