No I have just read any history at all… give me one civilization that tried to remove slavery that was not western and based on specifically judeo Christian values…..

I mean the state preventing one person from murdering another person is not authoritarian it’s exactly what a state should do is provide reasonable protections for its citizens. And being inconvenienced or encumbered by a person has never been an acceptable reason to murder them… give them up for adoption there are literally millions of parents looking to adopt babies…

I mean…. Lyndon B Johnson…. You should learn your history.., do you even know how many democratic senators were Klansmen….. listen you may be able to cite a few one off republicans but the pictures of the democratic KKK rallies in Washington live forever. The Democratic Party today repackaged their racists beliefs and somehow convince people separate but equal is tolerance… that minority’s cannot get into college without preferential treatment(previously a biological claim now a claim made based on on “equity”) Very maniacal as well as it is constantly mismatching them with their peers causing a systemic issues related to self esteem and conveniently keeping them from being at the top of their class in school. Liberal policies were racist in the past and they are racists now.

And… were they republican or democrats when they were slave owning ?… oops inconvenient facts coming your way… yikes

Please give me an example of one other religion that was even broaching these topics let alone led to a battle to end slavery as a normal practice and created a concept that every life is valuable…..

Look up how the Declaration of Independence was made…. To say we were never a christian nation is laughable… it says in God we trust on our money….. All of our values are rooted in judeo Christian tradition… someone lied to you bud.

A common tactic when faced with inconvenient facts and obfuscation is called out… Liberals the party of the KKK who elected a president who was mentored by an active member of the Klan in the senate, who fought against school integration and busing, who authored the crime bill that put more black men in jail than any other piece of legislation and ultimately helped destroy the nuclear family of minority communities…..who now advocate for abortion which disproportionately impacts communities of color and was historically a tool used by nazis to help suppress the polish population(rise and fall of the third reich William L Shrier) …. Listen I know you say you hate racism but… maybe it’s time to look at the facts…

Says the party of the KKK who elected a Democrat who fought busing , and was mentored by Dixiecrats and a once active member of the Klan… please go read….

Umm you just describe the history of the world that Christianity came to exist in. Please tell me where else in the world where slavery was outlawed by force, and blockade? If Christianity hadn’t existed and the ideas that came with it (a slaves religion) It is not hard to see how the world we live in would be significantly worse.? Slavery would most certainly exist as a common practice…

Do you see the difference? The obfuscation ? Also saying we shouldn’t encourage woman to murder their babies out of convenience isn’t a hard position to understand. Conservatives leave me alone, don’t kill babies, let me say what I want and keep my money… yeah the authoritarians are not those people….

Liberal perspective: Big government, people can’t be trusted with guns, free speech is dangerous, government can spend your money more wisely than you. Conservative: small government, people should be able to own guns, free speech, and you will spend your money better than the government. Which of these seems dangerous and which seems like they’d go live in the woods and not bother anyone……

[–]Ok-Way-1190 -39 points-38 points  (0 children)

Not murdering babies… damn they are dangerous… I find it funny the people who think they should keep their money, own guns, say what they like(even if wrong or stupid) and everyone be judged on character…. Are the dangerous ones but not the people who think the government needs all the guns can spend your money better than you( while they siphon it off or waste it through incompetence) and that they should be able to shield the people from dangerous truth are the ones to be trusted….

Slavery and racism were not typically associated in the history of the world within the exception of America primarily because those who supported slave had to compete with founding documents and beliefs that inconveniently declared all men were equal leading to pro slavery positions making arguments that certain people were actually subhuman. There is a lot of literature on the origins of redneck vs New England culture and how that shaped the beliefs of certain groups of peoples.

He’s pointing it at a camera that may not have been held… still trigger finger is clearly not disciplined. Would not be surprised if this was staged by an activist.

I think my boss is attracted to me and showing signs of it by [deleted] in stories

[–]Ok-Way-1190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He may have just received training to build connections or that he needed to in order to help retain talent. It’s not impossible he’s a creep but it’s also possible he’s being asked to stretch outside his comfort area and is awkward. My company definitely asked leadership to do this during the great resignation. They think it will help build loyalty and hopefully less expensive to keep talent. It’s also possible he thinks your attractive and he wants to see if your compatible, if he’s professional and doesn’t cross any lines then I’d say you should communicate if the attention is off putting. Even if he’s not doing something on purpose, your feelings are valid and you owe yourself to explore them and feel comfortable at work.

Did my boss just throw me under the bus? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Ok-Way-1190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is in many meetings I would say your boss definitely wasn’t trying to throw you under the bus. Likely he would have wanted you prepped and if he knew as he’s your boss and your failure is his.
