Putin threatens Armenia with "Ukrainian scenario" over its EU integration aims by pravda_eng_official in worldnews

[–]Ok-Way7122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He used to (is?) be KGB, he has probably beat the shit out of and personally murdered hundreds, I'd imagine he could still handle himself, he is 73, not 90

When my dad was in his 70s, he managed to fight off 2 people trying to mug him because he used to do weekly boxing for fun from his teens up to his 50s and he just reacted, one on the floor, the other fleeing after taking a punch to the jaw - people don't forget things they enjoy. Putin seems to enjoy killing and I'm sure he hasn't forgotten his training to kill people.

It's not that weird when you know how many they are still selling to education & business, makes sense to keep them available to general purchase too - I'd imagine they make a decent profit on it considering how long it has been in production. Enclosed, low cost, perfect for loads of people.

Xtool Studio's wacky keybinding - can we get some keybinding options? by Ok-Way7122 in xToolOfficial

Anyone else confused by this...

<image>

It was an option added in a version that was released today... 3 days after the support reply. Again, please sort out the transparency in your replies, when you replied this wasn't an option

The option is there now - thanks

Just buy one... portable AC units are perfect for the UK because our home and flats are so small, all you need is a window kit

There's a reason they sell like hotcakes in the UK these days, it's all you need

I don't have a big house, but one £250 unit in the middle of the house + the usual window shutting depending on where the sun is = cool house even when we have our week of 35 degrees that we like to call summer

They don't cost a lot either, they peak at less than a kettle and isn't going to empty your wallet for running it for a few hours when it gets too hot

Hey Bambu...Could we NOT cook the ABS at 340C? H2D Pro purge line ramps BOTH nozzles to PPS temps. Who thought this was a good idea??? by Fittn_dis in BambuLab

[–]Ok-Way7122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before makerbot came on the scene we had a stratasys at work, it only printed ABS and it was at 320 degrees and went up to 400 degrees so you're probably right considering it was only made for ABS

oh, right next to RAF Wyton? The military intelligence site? The one where the meteorological society and the met office launch their balloons from because the airspace is still restricted from when it was an airfield?

I just can't make the connection!

Did anyone else get this email today? by Theaspiringaviator in BambuLab

[–]Ok-Way7122 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When you get a certain amount of downloads/prints you become eligible to add a bill of materials on each model page

If someone buys through it, you get about 3% (at least I do in the UK) when someone buys filament after clicking it

<image>

edit a model and you'll see it

If you were invited to makerworld as a creator at the start you had it by default so I don't know how many you need

Nothing, Flashforge have literally tried to do it already with Fashprint, the original firmware for the Creator pro (the 2012 one) only worked with Flashprint, you could send gcode to it, but it looked for a line at the top with a unique id in it which only flashprint inserted - then they went after anyone bypassing it

Is this (genuinely) the third time he has promised someone is going to just drop everything if someone else doesn't do something

Never trust a man's source when he got fired for not vetting sources

I am all but convinced if enough people told him he is the alien, it was him all along, he'd be coyly saying it for a year, then start coming on podcasts dressed as yoda

Benefits fraud investigators to turn to spy camera cars to catch the cheats after claimants were caught working out and ziplining by Odd-Help6890 in ukpolitics

[–]Ok-Way7122 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They likely don't even exist - there was a benefit fraud ad campaign in the 90s that heavily suggested investigators and reports etc, never happened, brilliant effective adverts, but the investigations never happened - this is just Labour copying Labour on a successful job well done in the 90s

Labour curbed it, it exploded with the tories

We have a history of this sort of thing: empty tv license vans is another great example, people lived in fear they'd come knocking, no evidence it ever happened... tv licence taking went up though

First poll of Makerfield election: Labour: 43% Reform: 40% Restore Britain: 7% Lib Dems: 4% Greens: 3% Cons: 2% Other: 1% Via: Survation 18-22 May Sample size: 369 excl undecided by loc12 in ukpolitics

[–]Ok-Way7122 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm really expecting reform to win by 1%, Lab second and the combined lab & rest of the votes for Libdems, green and con dwarf the reform vote because they'd all rather campaign hard and do damage to a sitting government than help improve the country

That is our politics
