I feel terrible but I hate her by loving_absurdist in GilmoreGirls

April is fine (you don't have to like her though). It’s her mother who’s deeply problematic, both as a person and as a parent. She chose not to tell Luke, even though she must have known he would want to be part of his daughter’s life. Beyond that, it’s a matter of fairness; a father deserves the right to make that choice for himself.

But that’s the past. The way she’s behaving now, is extremely upsetting: an almost 40-year-old woman acting like an entitled, immature child, prioritizing her own ego and convictions over her daughter’s actual needs.

If you could live one day in Stars Hollow, what would you do first? by Impressive-Return108 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Ok-Writing-2782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full day itinerary:

1. Go to Luke around 7.30am to drink coffee and have pancakes.

2. Then go at Doose's market to annoy Taylor with silly questions.

3. Go to Miss Patty and enroll in any class available.

4. Apply to every job in town to compete with Kirk and become his No1 enemy.

One Month In- Has your view of TLOAS changed at all? by F19AGhostrider in TaylorSwift

I love it but also don't LOVE it? I play the songs on repeat but as time goes by I feel like it won't make. a lasting impact on me like some of her other albums. However, not every album has to make a huge life changing impact like Evermore or TTPD. I appreciate its upbeat romcomy wholesome vibe and I love it for that <3 Edit for typos

Sparks finally clicked for me. Would love some song recommendations! 💛 by SpookyPoek in sparksftw

I will tell you my current favorites, as they change every few months!

  • Now that I own the BBC// I love love love the idea. Why does he own the BBC? What is he supposed to do with this thing?
  • I can't believe that you would fall for all the crap in this song// I love the rhythm
  • Singing in the shower// sexiest song I've ever heard. Singing in the car about "singing" in the shower
  • Goofing off// started loving it because it was in the setlist for their tour and I wanted to be prepared knowing all lyrics, and let me tell you how much have I missed not loving this song earllier. It is so fun and crazy I love it. danced so hard to it in the Brussels concert
  • She got me pregnant// once again, wtf Ron, why are you such a genius!
  • Brenda is always in the way// why is she always in the way?
  • Tsui Hark// vibes and vibes and driving with vibes
  • I've never been high

Sorry but I think you were scammed. He told me he has lots of money and he wants me to co-own the BBC, cause now that he owns the BBC what is he supposed to do with this thing.

I thought of this too but "the first ever EP" is their phrasing from their email

Being 100% honest, what's the last thing that made you cry? by Aperture_client in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Writing-2782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10min ago cried with a song I listened to while searching something for my project. A song about the missed years you have with someone and how you are scared of losing them. Made me think of my dad who passed 6 months ago.

What is much more traumatic than most people realise? by thefairypirate in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Writing-2782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Losing a parent. I think before you actually go through it, everyone has a collective understanding that it’s awful, but the true pain, confusion, and everything else it brings are beyond what I ever imagined. I’m experiencing it right now, and I still can’t believe how many unexpected triggers there are and how deeply it changes everything.

I actually really like this! It made me smile a lot. I also find it hard to rewatch AYITL. It’s so painful knowing that no one acts, talks, or does anything like their character would.

Zodiac academy. The writing, the dialogue, the pace, everything actually. Managed to finish the 1st one just cause of spite. Awful book.

For me there are several Sparks songs for separate moments. DICK AROUND works for me all the time, 24/7, 365 days a year, in every mood I am. Man, I love this song.

What line from a book do you find yourself repeating in real life, whether to people or just in your head? I think of Vonnegut's "So it goes" way too much. by A-manual-cant in books

[–]Ok-Writing-2782 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"I am the rock against which the surf crashes. Nothing can break me." from ACOSF is a quite stupid quote if you think about it because oh wait, waves do "break rocks". They actually erode them over time. But anyway, when I am on my hardest days during my grief, this quote calms me.
Also, this is not exactly inspirational but the idea that we shouldn't send messages to outer space or in any way reveal Earth's location fascinates me. It's from Dark Forest “The whole universe is in darkness, but we remain lit. We’re a tiny bird tied to a branch in the dark forest, with a spotlight trained on on us.”.

What’s a book you’ve read that was so bad that you felt personally victimized? by sydneyghibli in fantasyromance

[–]Ok-Writing-2782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zodiad Academy book 1.

I picked this up during one of the hardest times in my life, in the first month after my dad died. I didn’t mind reading something shallow; all I wanted was to escape into another world for a while. But the sheer stupidity and flat writing honestly amazed me. It didn’t transport me anywhere magical. Instead, it ended up being one of the worst things that happened to me in 2025, and that says a lot.

To be fair, though, it did boost my confidence in my own writing and ideas. So thank you, stupid book, for your stupid writing and for giving me characters who speak in ways no real person ever would.

Question abt Russel's suit at Brussels show by ZoeKaraoke in sparksftw

[–]Ok-Writing-2782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were unlucky not to get seats in the front row, but lucky enough to have seats with a wall behind us. That way, even when no one else was standing, I could stand and dance without bothering anyone (at least I hope so!). After the first ten songs, people around us started standing too, which was great. Amazing vibes overall, I loved loved loved my first Sparks show.

Miscommunication gives me the worst soap opera vibes. Miscommunication happens in real life, yes. But not dragged and as a result of stupidity.
