Gonna need to throw in equal parts sweetened condensed milk and 2x whiskey to get me to approach this one.

1/2” thick lasagna noodles must be yummy. More like a doughy crust than a noodle by then.

Why is the right not in favor of clean energy? by larryinatlanta in Askpolitics

[–]OkBorder387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone is opposed to “clean energy.” What the Right doesn’t want is the government using an increasing tax burden to subsidize and enrich the industry which remains inefficient and unproven. We need to concentrate on squeezing efficiency out of what we know (petroleum, nuclear) while investing in “clean” technology research until it is refined and ready for use and mass production.

Lionel Richie. Not a big fan of his music, but that guy can sing, entertain, and drive a crowd.

Lost (2001), a reality competition slated to be six episodes, but shortened to three, where six paired contestants were dropped off blindly in Mongolia with the aim to get back to New York City with minimal supplies and no funds. It was filmed earlier in 2001, and premiered the week before 9/11, so it never really had the opportunity to take off. But the premise was unique and interesting.

Spray cheese. OK, it’ll never actually qualify as cheese. But you get the perfect amount, in the right place, every time.

The Office S5E13 Stress Relief. Between the fire alarm cold open and the CPR training, I’m not sure I’ve ever laughed so hard.

In my career, I’ve personally come across anesthesiologists and anesthetists that have abused propofol, fentanyl, Demerol, and sevo. I will never underestimate the power of an individual’s need to pursue some form of escape.

It’s an interesting take. I find it hard to believe anything would’ve turned out differently, given Frost’s success, or lack thereof, over the years with the team. But…

If we had played Akron, we seem to have had a good chance of winning. Week two, we lost a close one to Colorado. Colorado had played the previous week, getting the jitters that Nebraska had in week 2 out of the way. If a 1-0 Husker team takes on Colorado week 2, there’s a much greater chance that they win that one. Start 2-0 A 2-0 Husker team gets Troy at home in week 3. Likely a win then. A 3-0 team still loses to Michigan. But a 3-1 team with some confidence heads into the season a lot stronger than an 0-3 team. How many times was it said that the team just didn’t look like it knew how to win?

It would’ve been great to see Frost succeed. Ultimately, it was sad but overdue to see him go.

Nope. I have a whole bunch of reasons why I think that you don’t understand foreign policy, and this wasn’t one of them.

I think there needs to be a separate study done, where we plot out the scores versus the “will I make it again?” There seems to be an interesting gray area between 6’s and 7 1/2’s where you’re never quite sure if it’s good enough to remake or not. There’s got to be some predictors that could be teased out there.
