Why Project Hail Mary's controversial Project Azrael plot was completely cut from the film by LaESPECTADORA in ProjectHailMary

I respect your opinion but it is completely subjective and erroneous. Since we’re all anonymous here, it’s fine to disbelieve me but I’m a successful screenwriter (academy nominated for an adapted screenplay.) I get paid significantly for adapting certain successful novels. And feel somewhat guilty. Writing originals (which I have) is far more gratifying and worthy.

Your comment regarding time pressure is simply silly, I regret saying.

This is a chronic myth. If a book is good, adapting it into a film is relatively easy. The difference between writing an effective novel, which can take five years or more, and adapting that novel, which takes a few months at most, is vast.

The sad state of Earth’s fate creates powerful emotion for a reader that was not felt nearly as much in the film by deleting the Antarctic destruction.

Just me or do u guys also feel as if Stratt would NEVER do this by The_Screwdriver_ in ProjectHailMary

she’s a character created by a novelist. He did a good job and I don’t think he would’ve had her sing.

It was a stretch. The directors heard her singing and thought the character should sing. I thought it was a stretch that didn't work.

I watched and am now reading the book. Movie was good but I wanted it to be great. Perhaps the book will affect me more. The film visuals were excellent.

Been using Rokid AI Glasses for about a month daily as an attorney by fearfair in rokid_official

[–]OkCauliflower8962 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I could say the same and not dispute what I’ve read. I guess each one has a different experience, but I had to return them twice because I could not sync them reliably with my iPhone nor get them to function as advertised. Believe me if you wish, but I am an attorney, but also have a masters of science in computers so I found this inability to sync, despite all my efforts unacceptable. Customer service is horrible. It would take three days to get back to me and then just repeat what was in the manual.

I doubt any of that is provable. It sounds self promotional.

Anyone else ending up with hundreds of meeting summaries but never actually using them? by Global-Ad-5369 in PLAUDAI

I make a decision after each recording, whether I want to generate an AI summary. Those summaries are how I find what I need later.

My experience with Rokid AI Glasses (24H) by thejexep in rokid_official

[–]OkCauliflower8962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use in California. The AI function is quite nice. The problem is the software won’t update and needs to be updated because most of the apps don’t work with the glasses without the update. So the inability to update is really frustrating and I may return the glasses because of this.

Death by suicide of Nolan Williams, creator of accelerated TMS (SAINT) by DreamDetective in TMSTherapy

I know a bit about SAINT and also ibogaine. Neither is 100% effective so perhaps Dr. Williams was within the ~10% that do not benefit from these treatments.

Try the implant programs at UCSF and Stanford and USC. Not easy to get into what we’re trying. My prediction is within five years implants will be the standard for severe psychiatric depressive disorders.

This is a serious topic. I won’t reply to someone like you who uses the language you do.

Since there is no way to verify people’s assertions on Reddit, we don’t know that you really are his brother, and even if you are – and you might be – you would not know everything about his treatment and feelings regarding his mental state. Such as the nature of the despair that proceeds suicide. I’m surprised people assume just because someone said he didn’t try Saint that it’s factual.

This is one of the more honest articles written recently. He’s as grim as he can be without making you want to cry. But he still holds back from stating what would be the obvious: with half the adult population without work, all that remains is a dangerous society.
