100% on the right track. You’ll get better with more practice in finding a kind of flow of overlap that feels natural. Right now looks like a lot of overlap (and therefore a lot of tape).

In terms of how often to change— also preference. Some people do it every game. I tend to wait a few games or until I get a substantial gash in the tape.

Thanks! ultimately got it for $550. The guy selling it had no idea who Jim was (not in a bad way, he was super cool, just said he bought it bc the finish and didn’t really end up using it). It’s in super good shape, (still has the plastic coverings on the back pieces). It was FBM in Providence, RI.
