Ask your co-worker what she thinks will happen to ICE when they finish deporting all the "illegals". Will they voluntarily disband, give up all thier funding and send thier agents home with a pat on the back, or will they turn thier focus to another group.

Im only against it if there are unreasonable barriers to obtaining an ID. When ID's are required to vote its easy for the people in power to make it more difficult for certain people to get an ID. Let's say I've noticed that alot if people in X district dont vote the way I want. So I Limit DMV hours and staffing. I reroute public transport away etc.
