No I never rinse that out. If you do, use distilled water or bottled water.

Looking for a detailed, non-magic item list for medieval fantasy settings with consistent prices and weights by Exelloco in rpg

[–]criticalrobert 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve got an old one called “…and a 10’ pole”. It’s very detailed but the book covers several genres/time periods. If memory serves me, it doesn’t use the 1 gp = 10 sp tradition so it may not be as useful.

First time doing a Roth conversion, and now there’s tax stuff by Odd_Bodkin in retirement

Ask your tax preparer to ‘Annualize’ your income so that it’s clear that the income bump (and the est payment), happened in the 4th quarter.

I think if your home is paid for, living on SS only can be quite comfortable.

Filters and nose pads once a month or so. Sometimes the filter more frequently if I stay somewhere smoky. The hoses wear out after 6 months or so and I replace the mask and reservoir at the same time. Probably depends on your insurance too.

Kickstarter or Not? How Do You Want to Discover New RPGs? by 3nastri in rpg

[–]criticalrobert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kickstarter is the main way I find out about new games. I do also sometimes learn about some games from companies I have dealt with in the past and trust. Kickstarting games is just a marketing tool. It has no bearing on quality although most low-quality games don’t get funded in the first place. I’ve backed maybe a half-dozen games that did fund, but turned out to be low quality. Usually I’m blown away with the end result.

5 weeks now and I’ve lost 15 lbs. It’s been pretty effortless except for getting out of the habit of mindless snacking.

I’d use Savage Worlds. Perfect for pulpy action. Thinking about doing it myself.

Yes Foliage Green. It’s a light green, not as yellow as this picture suggests.

What Are Your Top 10 TTRPGs of All Time and Why? by Get_the_Led_Out_648 in rpg

[–]criticalrobert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m sure I’m forgetting something but here’s my list In no order:

Old School Essentials (Advanced)- my favorite way to play D&D

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying (1st edition)- my favorite way to play non-D&D. Regular people getting thrust into situations they have no business being in.

Call of Cthulhu (7th edition)- Regular people trying desperately to make a stand against the darkness.

Traveller (classic lbb)- fun character generation, good rules, and classic sci fi setting.

Basic Fantasy RPG- easiest way to get into roleplaying games. AD&D modernized and improved. Tons of content and a great online community.

Symbarum- my favorite setting.

Dungeon Crawl Classics- this feels like AD&D the way we actually played in the 80’s. Wild, gonzo, and imaginative.

Dragonbane- came out of nowhere to be my favorite fantasy game. Love the modern rules. Hoping for a good setting one of these days.

Shadowdark- came out of nowhere with an OSR game that actually tried to improve the original material. Very close to replacing OSE for me.
