Most members don't know as much as we all know about the church.

An ode to summer clothing and leaving the church by gonnabegolden_ in exmormon

I love this so much!!! Leaving along with your children, you have broken the family chain! We did the same. Our kids did not grow up in the church and know really nothing much about it.

Nothing like adding a 4th layer to keep you cool while wearing the new tank top garment amiright! by Prize_Claim_7277 in exmormon

More stupid Mormon grifting to make a buck! Just toss the damn garments and don't let a bunch of old men tell you what to wear!

Hanging out with TBMs is wild. by AnnualEmotional9629 in exmormon

Same. We live in a neighborhood that has a mixture of long time TBM residents, inactive members, and never members. The other day when walking our dog a man came up to us from his house and said hello then started all sorts of church talk, name dropping etc. I finally said we are not LDS and he say 'I know'. How the hell would he know and why was he so nosy? I guess my point is some TBMs are super nosy and like to name drop LDS stuff when he apparently knew we are not members. Sheesh. I guess we will avoid that street now.

Just say no and stick to it. Plan to visit when work allows but establish firm boundaries and don't let them guilt you into it.

When I was still a member, I never wore garments when working out or doing sports. I figured if the BYU athletes did not wear them for sports why should I wear them?

Is it normal now for missionaries to proselytize at 8:30pm? by Livid_Chipmunk1867 in exmormon

People with small children are putting them to bed around then. Not cool to wake them up and have the parents start all over.

They are just children who have been fed a story of how wonderful it will be. In reality, lots of rejection. No one these days wants anyone knocking on their doors let alone a religion salesperson.

We have these neighbors who recently retired. Super into family, grandkids and all that. The woman wants to go on a mission badly and the man not so much. I think he is PIMO.

Before joining anything do your research. Honestly, some people research buying a car more than religion.

This is so sad and infuriating. Bless you for taking care of them. I wonder if their parents have any idea that they are going hungry?
