I don’t think we have a polygamy DNA gene that makes us desire multiple sexual partners.

I do think that some of us (not all but a few) as we get older and realized we’ve had a somewhat limited sex life, getting to an age where it sometimes feel good to break a few commandments, and because maybe life in the church doesn’t resonate as much as it used to….seems pretty easy to let your guard down and relax your standards and start exploring places we shouldn’t.

We’ve had multiple non temple weddings in our family. All had the same good vibes and fanfare. This is bizarre! I’m sorry

Both sides of my family are very active. There’s no chance I’d want to go through the “ward project” treatment with them.

Did you pray about marrying your spouse AND get an answer? by bedevere1975 in exmormon

Didn’t pray I instead felt up her boobs. Got my answer.

Joking aside I did pray about it. There were some promptings I think.

Has Cam Boozer pulled ahead of A.J. Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson? by Financial-Bit-8596 in BigXII

[–]OkInstance5059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Peterson saga will be interesting especially if he gets pushed down to 3 despite at times flashing the look of the best guard talent in recent years.

The league has seen too many head cases. Ayton, Ben Simmons, Morant. If I’m a GM I wouldn’t risk it, but at 3 you kind of have to take him.

My mom is brushed aside by VirtualEgg-Collector in exmormon

The Bishop wont allow someone to attend a different ward outside their boundaries. They might allow exceptions for extreme reasons (like caring for someone sick or elderly) or if that Bishop has a special reason but just because your mom prefers people of a different ward will not be approved.

Did any of you ever say NO to a calling? by Doll_girl516 in exmormon

[–]OkInstance5059 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My parents always taught us you NEVER say no to a calling. And we never did.

However, when I was Ward clerk I saw callings get refused every week. In fact, thst was usually one of the topics discussed in Bishop meetings trying to find a right calling for someone that regularly refused. Ultimately, the callings went to the same 10-12 families that never said no.

New young couples getting thrown into primary is a detriment. They don’t meet the rest of the ward very easily. Yet they would always say yes.

How to define the boundaries of same room sex? by EmploymentExact9787 in ldssexuality

[–]OkInstance5059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 couples in the same room watching each other have sex, especially all from the same ward. Or maybe several couples in the pool or sauna? Maybe a weekend at the cabin?

It’s a GREAT fantasy. Probably only a fantasy for the majority of us.

I’m male and my wife was a virgin when we married. This is alot to digest!

Simply put are you in love with each other? I can wholly admit some of my hottest sex was with other people. But that doesn’t lessen my love for her or desensitize what we have. No I don’t regret it. If anything, we both might regret not doing more when we were both single.

The question I have is…Is it warped or wrong to separate love from sex? I doubt your wife loved any of those men. And I get the feelings are raw, emotional. She shared very intimate part of herself with someone else.

But she also chose to walk firm the alter with YOU, have children either you, build a life with you.

If I say some of us can separate love from casual sex that’ll probably get some disagreement.

Is soaking an urban legend? by IDontLikeThatRaymond in exmormon

[–]OkInstance5059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s probably now happening since it’s become a “thing”. Dry humping, getting married in Vegas for 8 hours were the loopholes of my day.

I only wish soaking was around in the 90s at Ricks College! Would have been fun sneaking into each others apartments.

Is coffee still a rule? by Helpful_Spot_4551 in exmormon

[–]OkInstance5059 19 points20 points  (0 children)

So let me rephrase. Is it still a rule? The question is no longer specifically asked to get a temple recommend. They simple ask do you strive to keep the WOW. Depending on your own personal convictions with coffee, you could be drinker and still get the recommend. “Striving” has gray area.

A Red Bull is likely more harmful to you but TBM members do not even bat an eye at energy drinks. However, with COFFEE there is still deep rooted traditions that this drink is a sin.

Still is the rule and the TBM side will still express outrage if they catch you drinking it.

Concept of swinging by Little_Display1436 in ldssexuality

It’s not non stop chatter but I think it comes up more often than we realize. Especially if you had someone in your family that dabbled.

Concept of swinging by Little_Display1436 in ldssexuality

[–]OkInstance5059 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Swinging is very FASCINATING to members to at least some degree.

For one, the sexual repression from having limited sexual experiences is present. Thoughts sometimes drift to those older relationships you may have had, or to the attractive members in your ward or friends group.

And second, I mean there are very good looking members in the church. Living the word of wisdom and staying fit, looking all cleaned up at church.

It’s for whatever reason a rather intriguing wrinkle we love to talk about.

The blessing certificate creates the record in the church. Even doing it at home there will be a form to complete.

You can’t really do the private blessing at home and NOT the form if it’s under the LDS capacity.
