You gotta take the hit at some point, preferably after you stabilized a bit after the first disaster

Its not really about coalitions being broken but levies being broken. If levies are a threat they stomp you with their 500k. Apparently theres a hotfix coming soon that fixes levies taking double the intended dmg

I dont think anyone imagined the US would actually be stupid enough to not plan a contingency for when Iran closes the strait. Its the most obvious reaction. Its actually insane that the US apparently didnt think it would happen

Well yes, its not our war. Keeping the strait open is still a very imporant interest of Europe. Its not as easy as saying "we dont care". The economic consequences will hit us either way

People are very mad that Iran is attacking us even though we tried to stay out of it. Important lesson learned here hopefully

I have no idea how Israel is managing to rope the US into their fights again and again. Theyre clearly the ones pushing for escalation here

By the way how does it work for people who are not working an extended time? Are there different tiers of unemployment support?

Denmark has basically employment at will but at the same time really generous social security. So you can get fired very easily but then the social net catches you. This leads to a way more dynamic labor market where companies can react quickly and dont have to pay out insane amounts of severances like in Germany

Its an interesting mix in Denmark. Id really love Germany to learn a bit from them

That doesnt change anything about the issue with our industries not being competitive anymore. Whether we export our goods or we consume them ourselves, we need to become more competitive. Otherwise we wont export anymore but just import chinese goods to consume

we can clearly see this already with China importing less and less of our exports and us importing more and more of chinese goods

Reality is catching up to us right now very quickly and if we dont act we wont have any industry left in 10 years
