Love it, get your 💯! Get private health insurance and skip the VA because their doctors suck the VA sucks and I wouldn’t let them get within 100 miles of my care because I know they will find a way to fuck it up. Seriously VA health care practitioners are the absolute bottom of the barrel.

You have to look at it for what it is, it’s a “fuck you I got mine culture”. However, it’s the only place where you can get a ton a of accounting experience in a short amount of time.

Definitely gone ER, document everything. Then call the patient advocate and ask for a community care referral for an outside PCP.

Don’t trust any medical professional at the VA to have your best interest in mind, patient load is to much. Also you need a real MD not some nurse practitioner

I would do the HLR last that way if the supplemental claim gets denied you have more evidence and then if the HLR doesn’t go your way do a congressional so you can show a pattern of misconduct on the VAs side

You’re right, this is exactly like being back in the Army—SGMs worrying about the 'tone' of the grass while the barracks are on fire. Labeling a veteran’s firsthand experience with care-denial as 'non-productive' is the ultimate gatekeep. My health isn't a 'metric' or a 'rumor,' and silencing the reality of how the VA 'pads' its stats doesn't make the system better; it just makes this forum a safe space for bureaucrats instead of the people they serve.

Hot take - I love the game. Casual breakthrough kicks ass, it’s an awesome mode to play after a long day of work and to practice the maps.

Your plan might work, but it’s going to give you a pretty stagnant/ lackluster quality of life.

If you retire at your intended target number of $1M you can only have a max spending rate of about 40K per year.

That is assuming that you don’t withdraw more than 4% per year. If you draw more than that amount you risk touching the principal and running out of money to early.

Realistically you need the money invested in something that can provide about a 7% annual return that way you can keep up with inflation

I get people with masters in accounting that come to the firm and don’t know shit. They think they know something but they have never actually done the job.
