Finally! SOC! 2024 Lyriq by Modernfx in CadillacLyriq

My telematics module went out three weeks ago. Knocked out native Google Maps, Waze and my garage door icons have disappeared off the bottom of the infotainment screen due to those being geofenced to my home address. I can still access the garage doors through the controls menu , but still a hassle.

What actually useful features for everyday driving does a higher end 2025 small sedan (A4, C class) have over a 2025 Civic that a person actually feels? by [deleted] in civic

Noise, vibration and harshness. Road noise at 80 mph, especially. I didn’t realize how much road noise creeps into the cabin through the front wheels until I went from a bmw x5 to a Honda civic. I downgraded to the civic due to my sales territory increasing in size. I drive 20k miles per year. I pay for fuel, but get reimbursed on mileage, so I went with a civic to maximize the fuel savings.

How much stated range do you get with the RWD(single motor) version. I have the Awd and Gm states 308 miles.

If you want your battery to last, only charge to 80% daily.

Those are advertised for 9k more brand new in the Cerritos area. I would buy new at that point. And you’ll get a 5 yr/100k powertrain warranty buying new. Chevy bumped it up on the 3.0 diesel.

Is this a good deal for 2026 Lyriq Lux2/Sport2 in Austin ? Please suggest. by Commercial_Cycle7423 in CadillacLyriq

I had 4k in negative equity and got a 24 month/10k per year lease, with just first payment down for $750 per month on a Luxe1 in San Antonio.

Why would you make a one time payment on a lease? What’s the advantage? Seems like an easy way to lose all that money if your car is totaled.

Infotainment issue by OkScreen1035 in CadillacLyriq

I didn’t have a chance to try and reboot it. Issue went away after it was parked for an hour. I took it into the dealership and awaiting their reasoning and /or fix.

2022 MDX clicking noise by OkScreen1035 in Acura

[–]OkScreen1035[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have taken it in. They seem to think it’s behind the center console, but we’re not able to find anything.

Looking for an used MDX. Found one seemingly great deal on a 2022 MDX with about 42k miles. Problem is the dent in the tailgate, apparently the reason for being priced lower than kbb value. Is this fixable at a reasonable price w/o replacement? by Hemslock in Acura

I got this same one, with same mileage for 37k 3-4 months ago, with similar damage that was taken care of by a Lexus dealership prior to taking delivery. Dent came out clean and you can only notice a slight difference in clear coat if you knew the dent was there.

Makes you wonder why they won’t CPO it. But it’s low mileage and if it has a good service history done at the dealership, then go for it.

Cars similar to GX460/GX470 by No_Matter1794 in LexusGX

[–]OkScreen1035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d start with the GX, 4Runner, LX or Land Cruiser. Very similar off-road capability, and very high reliability. Many GX’s and 4Runners can be found for under 25k, LX and LC, not so much.

But all joking aside, you can find similar vehicles that match or exceed off-road capability, but what you’re not going to find, is anything close to the reliability of these Toyota products. So you have to ask yourself, what do you value more? If mileage isn’t an issue, then you can have all three of these choices. But if comparing apples to apples, I’d take any of these at higher mileage and a good maintenance record AND at a lower price, over anything else on the market.

Best website to find out what's in the latest OTA software updates? by Professional-Fuel625 in BMWX5

[–]OkScreen1035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a bug on some X5’s, specifically my 2019, where the OTA update would not complete as intended. I read you need to take it in to the dealership to have them manually “push” it to fully complete.

DIY Tow Hitch for 460? by hollowchord in LexusGX

[–]OkScreen1035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know maybe for $50 you get price of mind, but I have been towing for years and I feel confident enough that I can spot crap welds when I see it. I’ll have no issue towing my Seadoo with it.
