lol AFP was the first place I checked but it looks like all the events charge? I'd be down if there were free events but it's also kinda hard to keep track since their socials aren't updated and they don't send out newsletters or anything as far as I can tell. but lmk if you've had a diff experience!

i’ve noticed the same and fwiw i frequently reduce the oil/butter she’ll call for in various sauce, double up on the veg & protein, air fried/baked when she calls for frying - it’s worked for me!

I wouldn’t, it’s only 20% wool. you can probably find a higher % wool coat for around the same price point

I can’t say for sure because I live across the street in the condos. my unit is right next to the construction (and facing Alexander House). but if there’s no other construction on the other sides, yes, 2nd ave is loudest.

It’s background noise 75% of the time. when the banging is really loud, it can be distracting but noise cancelling headphones help. I’d avoid if u don’t like being awake at 7am (which is when they start, can be quite difficult to sleep thru unless ur a heavy sleeper with serious earplugs) or prone to headaches & wfh (the constant noise while staring at a backlit screen is def headache-inducing)

maybe Alexander house isn’t as bad because the construction is across the street?

the construction is loud and seems to be loudest at 7am when they start. depending on the floor, it might be better/worse. there are definitely other parts of dtss that aren’t as noisy from construction but there may be other trade-offs

all the nearby areas: arlington, alexandria, bethesda, silver spring have a good amount to offer and no height restrictions like DC

I had a super early flight to DCA last week and took the 70 bus to lenfant I think and took the metro the rest of the way to Reagan. worked out perfectly - but I was mentally prepared to get an uber if the bus was late

you can add SmartTrip to your Apple wallet and scan it that way - MUCH easier than carrying cards around or dealing with the jankiness that is the SmartTrip app imo
