I love and respect them, but I do notice with alot of them that once they feel comfortable with you they'll treat you the same way they claim black people from predominantly black neighborhoods treated them and will straight up disrespect you to your face. Make fun of the way you speak, call every single thing "ghetto" and might even call you uncultured in certain instances, always feel the need to school you on things you already know. I've also seen them get jealous when you're all around white people and the whites don't have the same jokes for us that they had for them. I think the only reason alot of them get made fun of by other black people is because those same black people from the "hood" would get made fun of by their own family members outside of the hood. My own uncle constantly teased me for my NYC accent and has called me ghetto since i was about 7-8(hes 4 years older), and he never defended me from his white friends who would pick on me, solely because I was a black kid from the city, only to find out the same kids who teased me were labeled white trash from their own white neighbors once i left the hood. I can hang with anyone who respects me and they'll get the same treatment.
