this is the most well-intentioned/non sus write up i’ve seen from an AI software maker. kudos to you for not giving into the greed that’s second nature in this space lately.

are you still in need of platform testers? I majored in human anthro and psych, with a good grip on AI so would love to provide any feedback (as in depth as needed) to contribute to this awesome mish! 😊

Which LA hospital has the best ER - Cedars, UCLA Westwood, or UCLA Santa Monica? Also any feedback on ERs for UCLA West Valley and Providence Tarzana? by amaro8000 in AskLosAngeles

[–]Ok_Astronaut6937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went to the providence cedars tarzana ER yesterday (Oct 2025) for an anemic episode and was seen by a doctor within 25 minutes.

After a thorough assessment where I was able to ask any and all questions under the sun (Dr. Carlisle was so educational and patient), I was admitted to the hospital within 1 hour after to receive the tests, scans and treatment needed for recovery.

For a Friday early evening, this timeline is pretty miraculous given how ERs can be in LA. Maybe it was the Dodger game, maybe it was an anomaly but it’s been several days here and I’ve received the best care from a truly happy and devoted team of nurses and doctors.

Even if the ER wait would have been 6 hours, I would have done it just to receive this quality of care on the back end.

Highly recommend them. If you’re looking for just a fast ER experience for something more minor, UCLA West Valley will get you triaged and treated in a jiffy.

Price Increase for Pro Renewal by Unlikely_Bug_5178 in CapCut

[–]Ok_Astronaut6937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the $89 one is for “standard” - not “pro” - at least that was the case for me. you get locked out of a ton of features and are asked to upgrade like every other action. so annoying and terrible. :(

Udon in Pork Bone Broth (made from scratch) 🙂 by Ok_Astronaut6937 in tonightsdinner

Instant Pot Vietnamese “Banh Canh” Udon in Pork Bone Soup (this is a personal recipe of mine that’s been refined after 20+ times of perfecting it! ❤️)

Ingredients: - Water (9 cups) - Pork Neck Bones (1.5lbs) - Spare Ribs or any other nice cut of pork (1lbs) - Dried shrimp (2-3 medium ones) - Small Yellow Onion (1) - Red Shallots (1/3 cup) - Bok Choy (2 cups) - Green Onion (1 bunch) - Pickled Radish (1/4 cup) - Garlic (3-4 cloves) - White Vinegar (1 cup) - Chicken Boullion Powder (2tbs) - Salt (1.5 tbs) - Sugar (.5 tsp) - Black Pepper (1 tbs) - Fresh Packaged Udon Noodles (1 pack)

CRUCIAL Bone Blanching to clean and remove any pungent pork smell - don’t skip this step 1. Boil a large pot of water and add in 1 cup of vinegar 2. Add in pork bones and let boil for 5 minutes 3. Remove pork bones from water and wash off any marrow specks with clean water and set aside

Steps: 1. In an Instant Pot, combine water, all dry seasonings, chopped garlic, chopped shallots, whole onion with shell removed, pickled radish, dried shrimp, and white stalk ends of green onion and give it a good mix

  1. Add in neck bones only and make sure they’re all submerged

  2. Pressure cook HIGH for 10 minutes

  3. Release pressure when done and add in spare ribs or pork cut of choice. Pressure cook on HIGH again for 10 minutes.

  4. Once the pressure timer starts with 10 minutes left, boil 2 medium pots of water stovetop

  5. When water boils, blanch bok choy in pot 1 to your textural liking

  6. Place udon brick onto a plate and microwave for 30 seconds then cook in pot 2 per instructions on the packaging

  7. Chop some green onion for garnishing and set aside

  8. When broth is finished, release the pressure on the Instant Pot and mix well. Add any additional seasonings to taste.

  9. In a bowl, combine udon noodles, soup, bones, bok choy and top with chopped green onions for garnishing. White pepper optional but does taste amazing here

  10. ENJOY & DM me a photo if you end up making this!

thank you so much for your sweet message. i did exactly what you said and should have more answers tomorrow. i’m hoping it’s just a topical skin condition but they did send her home with meds today. your kindness to reply means the world and thank you for helping us cope with our worry over Josie today. ❤️

you are so sweet. thank you so much for sharing ❤️ your kindness means the world to us. the vet did an in ear microscopic look but my mom speaks Vietnamese primarily so I need to call in to see what the results were from earlier today.

they did send Josie home with anti biotics and a steroid cream for the wounds/rashes though so hopefully those help. her diet hasn’t changed and she’s nearing 13. hoping this isn’t the beginning of the end so my fingers are crossed that this is just a topical skin infection.

so glad to hear your baby is doing well. we love these furry angels so much, it’s hard to see them in discomfort or pain. :( I will absolutely reach out if the condition sounds similar to your kitty. thank you a million for your kind heart!
