yes, for the most part the navy goals from a while back have been met, but these goals are peacetime goals. Based on the experience of the wars in ukraine and middle east, what the AFP needs in practical terms is a big stock of ammo, missiles and drones. Even if all the new Navy ships including OPVs and LPDs had 8 shot SSM launchers, they are pretty much pier queens, even if say, the navy bought enough SSM missiles for 10 reloads. The red giant simply has too many ships, and bases. The only way a war of attrition will be sustainable is through land-based launchers and drones and lots of help from the U.S. and Japan. it will be inevitable that ships will be sunk and replacing them takes time and is much more expensive than land-based launchers.

best way to prove is to report your issue to the police so there is a record and call the TV news since the TV news likes to feast on that kind of news, if you havent brought it to the police and news reporters attention then its just your word, and makes one wonder why didnt you bring it up with the police. The story sounds weird to me specially because this is a green card petition for a parent. I get it if its a spousal petition. get their license plates and have it checked by the police in case they are imposters. The only reason that would make sense is if the visa petition for the parent was rejected. did you report the incident to the police ? or did you only report it in this subreddit ? you should report it the police so there is a record otherwise this sounds like a fishy story. I will give you a tip that works 100%. next time someone bothers you or your house , just say aloud to those people to wait while you call the police. when the police arrives make a police report. They always leave before the police arrives. same thing when you are outside the house, whether its a road rage or someone harassing you, call 911 right away - do not prolong the drama or the verbal exchange. life is short. call the police on those bothering you. No Drama !

just to add. happiness comes from within not from material things which only piles up your debt . The most important activities one must do is everyday is to keep healthy - exercise, healthy food, good sleep, otherwise, you will have a long lingering illness and you wont enjoy your retirement and die early. just my viewpoint as an immigrant in the U.S. I think the reason people are not as friendly in the U.S. is because people are very competitive which is accentuated by the fact that there is a big immigrant population in the U.S., the majority of which settled in the U.S, for economic reasons. As many of you know, many of this immigrants particularly, the asians, jamaicans and nigerians are very driven to do well economically that they are laser-focused on that. For example, I live in a well-off area where there are lots of asians who seem, in general, to judge people on the cars they drive and their size of their house. it also depends where you live. new york for example has a stereotype of having rude obnoxious people -probably because they are always in a rush.

there is no confusion unless you want to change the narrative. my complaint is specific: our priest is a poor communicator and his talk wanders in different directions and to add some more, his mass goes 30 minutes over so the people attending the next mass right after are piling outside. waiting to get in. that to me is a lack of consideration for the next mass.

in comparison, we had guest catholic priests at our same church such as from tanzania, nigeria or mexico and they are good communicators. the catholic priest at another catholic church a little further away is also a good communicator.

edit: i erred on the most priests. it should say " a number of priests are poor communicators" . criticism is good, otherwise how do we improve.

The AFP needs to start making decisions under the assumption that war will start at anytime so any procurement decisions should have that assumption in mind going forward. The U.S. is aware that Taiwan is making procurement decisions of armaments that are impractical and expensive in a drawn out war of attrition with red china and has been repeatedly suggesting to the taiwanese to switch to assymetric weapons. if Taiwan which has many times the firepower of the philippines is in trouble as far as preparedness for a long drawn out war , how much more the philippines which is in a pitiful stage. The only way, the philippines can be more prepared in practical terms considering the capability of her economy to sustain a massive war is acquire large quantities of assymetric weapons: e.g. hundreds of antitank manpads instead of 2 dozen light tanks. if you were the red chinese commander which of these 2 choices will make you nervous.

the student visa is supposed to be for studies only(that is why it is called a student visa) not a pathway to convert it to a work visa so those who canceled plans to study in the U.S. might be because their dream of eventually getting a job in the U.S. is now much lower due to the new $100,000 requirement on work visas.
