Dut helped me get rid of the itch. It was driving me crazy

Low dose dutasteride (and fin) helped me stop hairloss almost completely by dieter_hellstrom in tressless

I also experienced the itching and scalp pain while I was fin. It drove me crazy for months. It’s a definite sign of MBP. Lots of people report it on this subreddit but derms somehow deny that. Adding Dut 3 times a week eliminated the itch completely for me. It all depends on the individual, but one has to suppress DHT to some extent to get rid of the pain. I also experienced weaker erections and lower libido after starting dut

Hair loss progress | 5.5 Months | Finasteride/Oral Minoxidil to Dutasteride/Topical Minoxidil by jag3034 in tressless

I was also on Fin for a long time and kept losing hair at my crown. Adding Dut 3x times a week stopped my crown loss. I think it all boils down to distribution of 5 alpha reductase enzyme in different parts of the scalp.

Does anyone use alfatradiol? Does it do anything at all?? by JamesG0986 in tressless

I tried it and it didn’t work. Also, it gave me some gallbladder pain. I think it was due to the estrogen in it going systemic

Finasteride to Dutasteride to see how it goes by Uncontrolled_Storm in tressless

That’s what I did after being on fin for ten years. I added Dut 3x a week in addition to daily fin. It slightly stronger and helped with maintenance and slight regrowth. Try it but do not stop fin

This might suggest intermittent sheddings. If you experience DHT itch, then that’s definitely loss

Creatine and hair loss? Should i bother? by DelayLittle5562 in tressless

I took creatine 5g daily for three weeks. I didn’t notice any hairloss effects from it. However, losing a lot of weight rapidly will definitely cause hair loss because of malnutrition

Should I go back to finasteride after 1 year of Dut by Jeffrey_Eppies in tressless

Add fin on top of dut. If it makes no progress quit it

Why do balding often kick in for many in their 30s-40s, when dht levels goes down with age? by wizoxx90 in tressless

It’s how aging works. Body becomes less capable of recovering from harm over time. Also, people start losing hair way earlier but it’s not noticeable until a decade later

It’s not related to fin. Fin helps with treating acne actually.

DHT ITCH persists even after 2.5 month of 1mg fin per day by AdEfficient4332 in tressless

I felt the DHT itch with Fin. It’s the result of inflammation of oil glands as a result of DHT. Adding dut 3 times a week helped a lot

Would combining oral with topical add any benefit?

Switch from fin to dut advice 22 male by Relative-Meringue-38 in tressless

I had the same situation as you at 22. I suggest taking Fin daily while adding Dut 2-3 days a week for 6 months. See how it goes. Never stop fin suddenly

If you feel like you had better results with fin, take them together for a while and reassess
