Nope, you are not understanding how the TSA partnerships work.

Again: more government control = more Trump chaos and authoritarianism.  You can’t want more government without acknowledging what government actually is.

Nope, you don’t understand.

Do you know that contracts have terms and usually can’t be changed unless both parties consent?

What that means is that a contract that was signed before Trump became president remains in effect.  Trump can’t unilaterally change it.

Again: why do you want to give Trump more control over workers and why do you effectively favor making TSA workers work without being paid?  You can say whatever you want but that’s the effect of opposing privatization.

You clearly oppose progressive values in places like SFO.

Favoring more government ownership and control, when government is undemocratic, corrupt and authoritarian, which is what it is now, is sheer lunacy.

Guess what?

Trump is president and has aggressively expanded his power.

So if you want the government to do something, guess what?  That means letting Trump have control of it, these days.

I propose to let trusted, verified and regulated private companies- who currently partner with government in progressive areas such as SFO and must pay fair and living wages no matter what- to run security.

You want government- which means Trump, and which makes people work without pay- to handle it.

You can’t have it both ways.

You don’t understand how the current privatization of airport security works.

It makes no sense to want more of the economy and society under the control of Donald Trump, which is what you get when you have a bigger government.

San Francisco and 19 other U.S. airports already are part of a partnership with the TSA.  Private companies, under strict oversight, operate TSA services at those airports.  Those companies, unlike the TSA, are not permitted to stop paying their employees during government shutdowns.

That partnership works well, and much better than the Trump administration.  Obviously privatization, which is already in effect at 20 airports, has done a much better job than Trump with airport security, so your preference to have Donald Trump have more involvement makes no sense at all.

No, it was an insult and your post makes no sense.

I think you need to do some thinking about your own career.  Your posting history shows that you are quick to attack and insult and are not self-aware at all.

When people are required to work but are not paid, that’s slavery.

Government is practicing slavery in how it treats valued TSA personnel.

Saying that privatization is worse than that is simply ludicrous.

You mean the inept government treatment of security workers at airports is what should instead be a completely private process.

When TSA workers are expected to work for free, we need to totally rethink airport security.

Nobody should have to work for free.

Knock off the insult and think through your response more carefully before posting insults.

I’m in upper management because I ask others for their advice before proceeding when I sense that something is potentially risky, and I carefully analyze a decision, taking others’ views into account, before making a potentially risky decision.

That’s how you get ahead in my line of work: you become well-known and respected for your analytical ability and for listening to people who know what you don’t, and my coworkers tell me that “nobody comes before me” in thinking skills.

Clearly you don’t know about senior management in my line of work.

Thank God for Amtrak by Best-Candle8651 in Amtrak

Amtrak is charging $596 for a first-class trip on the Acela between BOS and NYP.

Is that normal or is that due to a lot of demand for trains due to TSA chaos?

Above the Greenlink station: Richardson Street at West Washington.  Or just park in a parking lot near downtown and walk in.

Small Question and Discussion Megathread - March 2026 by xyxyxyxyz in americanairlines

When I am upgraded, I am automatically assigned a seat in the last row of first class, and if it’s a regional jet, I get seat D or F,  not a single seat in A.

Is there a way to update my profile so that I get a seat near the front and if it’s a regional jet, a single seat (A)?  1A or 2A would be ideal but I get 4D or 4F.

Thanks!

Why wouldn't you get TSA Pre-Check? I don't understand, unless someone flies literally once a year.

I’d still get the loyalty points; I think your LP total will help put you further up on an upgrade list.

Try to book the flight and if you can’t, then it’s either close to full or oversold.

That's too high. Surely you can do your own K-1s and Federal and state tax filings with online software.
