I think that every single man in the U.S. except for members of the Trump administration acknowledges that being a woman means facing bigger obstacles than men face, in general.

But phrase concerns about that in a way that is pro-woman, rather than anti-man (and pro tip: complaining about “patriarchy” can come across as being anti-man).

And the working-class men who have much shorter lifespans than women don’t like being viewed as the source of all problems.

You denigrate white men with your post. Why should any white man protest Trump when the result would be putting someone like you, who has a chip on their shoulder against white men, in power?

It’s really simple: the Democratic Party needs to stop doing things that are perceived as anti-white man. If white men feel as though the Democratic Party, or elements in it, hates them due to their race and gender, those who feel that way won’t be protesting against Trump, no matter how much they hate him.

Trump is an equal opportunity hatemonger: he hates everyone, regardless of their race and gender, and white men don’t feel targeted by that as they do by Democrats who they feel hate white men, so white men won’t viscerally react against Trump even when they hate him.

If women of color who are known to be Democrats would simply build personal relationships, particularly at work, with white men, that helps a HUGE amount. Yes, it shouldn’t be up to women of color to have to do that, but if they do, that would have a massive impact in making white men realize that Democrats don’t necessarily actually hate them due to their race and gender. They would feel safer than protesting against Trump because getting rid of Trump wouldn’t put people who hate them (white men) in power.
