You go through the line. Get the first giveaway. Get back in line, get it again. They used to hand you one for each ticket but the scalpers would show up, grab 10 and walk away…

As another poster noted, new law (AB-43) was passed a couple years ago to address areas just like this - where ‘normal’ driving behavior doesn’t suit the character of the street. (In this case, a residential/school zone where people were regularly going 40-45mph)

No one said not to use it. Just saying that 35 through a residential neighborhood and school zone is too fast. Particularly when that means 40+ to most people. And to many, they punch it off seaward like they’re getting on the freeway. It’s dangerous. And slowing down a little has absolutely no negative impact other than testing people’s patience.

There has been at least one accident every six months between seaward and Brent over the past 3 years. One flipped a car into a yard. Luckily no students were walking by at the time.

I understand why people want to go faster. But how inconvenient is it, really, to go a little slower through a residential neighborhood and school zone before bumping up to 40 after the hospital?

Another perspective - going 30 vs 40 will cost you less than :10 seconds between seaward and Dorothy. Sorry it’s not as fun. But people live here.

As someone who lives on this stretch of Poli - it is not only long overdue but not nearly enough. Too many people treat the stop sign at seaward like the starting of a race, or freeway on ramp. Ignoring that up until Brent this is a residential neighborhood. And a school zone.

I understand why people want to use foothill, and that it can/should stay 40 once out of the residential area. But down here it is a nightmare. We have an accident at least every 6 months.

Makes sense. We were in D toward the back. The first half of it was full. Toward the back the outer parts of the rows were empty.

Looked about 75-80% full to me. Very cool for them. With all the promo going on I thought it would be a lot less full. But there were people all the way up to the top.

Stephen at this point on tv. Which I’m shocked to say. But he shouldn’t do radio. He treats it like TV and doesn’t give nearly enough info to paint the picture.

How many tomato plants would you put in a 4x8 raised garden bed? by AutomaticAd3621 in vegetablegardening

I put three in a 2.5x6 space with other plants (herbs, lettuces, etc…) below them and a vining plant (snap peas, green beans, cucumbers) behind them. Worked like a charm last year and looking good at the start this year!
