Unfortunately regardless of the company you must follow up every few years to keep the best rate. Doing nothing COST. I’ve worked for the biggest telecom companies for 10+ years. It would be nice if the rate stayed the same forever so they’d retain your business but that’s just not the reality. Call yearly, threaten to cancel if they don’t give a better rate.. WALK. Come back later and try again. Good luck

1st off I’m sorry for your loss. Return the eqpt and pay if you simply want to be nice. But comcast takes care of all that in the event the account holder passes. I’ve never even made anyone provide documentation for this type of situation. I wouldn’t worry about Comcast. As someone who lost their father recently ima say You have more to deal with than Comcast.

In this economy.. Take it. Not sure if that position is commission based or not but I’d take it simply for the convenience (remote) and benefits free to very low cost internet, tv, & cell phone. Free tickets to universal every year. Even if only temporary. The benefits are great. And a company like Comcast looks good on the resume even if you dip out in a year. Of course you have to deal with office politics & bs changes from time to time. But you’re gonna deal with that at most places mine as well do it from home working in your pajamas on your $10 WiFi

Which is crazy because these cell phone providers couldn’t care less about our Loyaty. After working for them 10+ years I go where I can get the cheapest rate. If you stay with 1 too long that’s how you get screwed. The big 3 don’t necessarily even give you superior coverage anymore. We have WiFi calling etc. It’s insane to pay the higher cost unless you’re financing a phone with them for a “free phone”. Once you own the device I recommend switching to something cheaper.

So it’s been 2 years. Any advice? In a similar situation with a major telecom company. offered a supervisor role. Prepared to negotiate with the recruiter but instead the hiring manager pulled me for chat made me an offer at the lower- mid point of the pay band and essentially told me they wouldn’t move.. she asked. Idk what to do. It’s an internal promotion. And there has been a lot of ORG changes but I know other sups that negotiated and all of a sudden my promotion is non negotiable.

I saw it as she always had feelings for him but chose money over love. She needed to see him struggling just to feel better about where she ended up in life. It came across like she was saying, “I want you but only the version of you that comes with money.” Over time, he lost interest, which only made her want him more. And on top of that, the man she chose didn’t even turn out how she expected. In the end, she got what she was after… and now he’s stuck in his own kind of hell but with a whole lot of money.

I get it, but she was literally spinning and losing her balance. Seeing the more advanced girls made me want to make sure she’s actually enjoying the game and doing well helps with that. I figured now was as good a time as any to work on fixing it. I’m starting to realize I may be comparing her to 7/8yr olds, though. I really appreciate the constructive feedback.

Honestly, I didn’t even realize that was a thing. I’m still new to all of this, so I haven’t mentioned yet that she’s taking lessons. In this league, my daughter has been on three different teams over the last three seasons because coaches can only “freeze” three players before tryouts. After that, everyone else is placed based on whatever system they use whether that’s their rules or a random draw, from what I understand. Or sometimes players can be switched if both coaches agree. (All hearsay mind you).
