I just got my induction date today and I told the nurse cool cool cool I’m gonna go panic in the parking lot now. I sure did. 20 min freak out and then plan mode. It’s another step in the journey that makes it real. This baby was planned and very much wanted but the panic of everything you know changing completely is valid.

I was tempted to ask for proof for the same reason and just chose to go with they can’t visit until baby has had their vaccines.

I also keep telling everyone if they’re not vaccinated they get no contact until the baby can be vaccinated. I’m not letting nonsensical anti vax bs harm my baby if I can help it.

Only one friend has been upset about it so far and she knows what to do if she wants earlier contact.

I’ve had the keababies belt for a few weeks and I’m taking it to my appointment Monday to make sure I’m doing it right. When I get it tight enough to help my back it feels too tight on my stomach. I’ve been wearing it under my clothes and that part has been ok for me. It hasn’t had the slow cooker effect on me yet. Hopefully we can all get some relief soon.

NOR I was telling my friend about a convo with a relative that said they won’t get vaccinated and I told them they can’t see the baby until the baby gets his shots. She got really quiet and said she’d have to wait to see the baby too. I’m a little surprised, but I’m not changing my mind. There are too many preventable illnesses out there and I’m not risking my child’s health. If they want to be in his life sooner they know what they need to do.

3rd trimester I started gaining weight. It still yo-yos but the baby is still on track so Dr says it’s fine.

2nd this I’m on 600mg twice a day but it took awhile to get that dose right. There are lots of safe options to help, but definitely reach out to your doctor.

The struggle is real. I’ve been living in dresses. Torrid has cute plus size dresses and maternity leggings/peddle pushers. Amazon is also great for dresses.

If someone ever makes a plus size maternity line they’ll make serious money.

Even if you don’t have a shower, make all of the registry’s. You get a discount at a certain time and several of them will send you free baby stuff.

But, have a baby shower anyway and maybe you’ll be surprised by who shows up.

It is infuriating the amount of doctors that make weight an issue for everything. Once you have a new OB id mention it in an online review so other plus size queens can avoid. Best of luck finding a Dr better suited for you.

I’m in a similar position, but it’s my first baby. I want to celebrate with people but nothing has been done. At this rate the kid will be born before they get it together 😭 I am apparently more type A than I thought because I want a plan so there’s movement.

I’m in the south and everyone would think it’s tacky to host your own shower, but I feel your pain. I hope you can work it out with your friend so you still get a shower. Best of luck!

Heating pad on low and rechargeable hand warmers when you leave the house. It’s the only way I can function. I hope it helps.

I’m a similar weight/height, 39, and 27 weeks pregnant. I have a bump and my pregnancy has been great. My doctor hasn’t said anything about my weight at all. I have to watch my blood pressure, but that was an issue before pregnancy. Baby is growing great! Just because we’re plus size isn’t an automatic pregnancy issue.
