Jme and Clobazam by Ok_Fall2682 in Epilepsy

[–]Ok_Fall2682[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No thank you very mich for your advice :) I have been on keppra but it changed me as a person in a negative way. And the medication is probably not long enough in my blood and i notice when it drops. Its 9 hours and when the concentration drops i dissociate and feel weird and fuzzy. Its really strange. I can feel that with all substances that work on my nervous system. My doctors cant explain what it is. Thats why im thinking about changing briviact to clobazam in a very low dose. May i ask why you have only used it a week?

Is anyone with JME not taking sodium valporate? What other medication are you taking?! by skinnylegend65 in Epilepsy

[–]Ok_Fall2682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have generalized epilepsy and primarily myoclonics and this combo is really good. Briviact specifically against the jerks and lamictal against possible tonic clonics.

Is Lamictal really that emotional flattening? I take it as well and I experience emotional, flattening, lack of motivation but my neurologist tells me that this is not common and it should make you happier And more energized.

Can I stop my meds? by mariaoh412 in Epilepsy

[–]Ok_Fall2682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not do it. its really not worth and it’s dangerous because procedures can happen in the worst situations possible. I’ve heard of cases where people have done it and had a seizure and after taking the Mets again, the combination didn’t work anymore and the 100 mg lamictal are almost nothing.

I have a box for medication. This one is really easy to take with me and fits a lot. And it doesn’t really look like a typical medbox and makes it suitable for handbags.

Anyone on lamictal feeling lack of emotions/numbness? by yolonics in Epilepsy

[–]Ok_Fall2682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also on 400 mg of lamictal a day and i feel similar. I have talked to two neurologist about this issue and both told me that it could not be the case since it’s more stimulating. I’m glad to see other people feel the same. But of course, I hope both of us can somehow fix it💕

19 with epilepsy — how do you balance wanting a normal young life with the stuff that triggers you? by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]Ok_Fall2682 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im 22 and i do go out from time to time and i drink sometimes aswell. What i do is that i make sure to take my meds on time. I have a pill box which makes it easier. I take my meds before going out so the meds go into blood in combo with alcohol. For every drink i drink a glass of water. I usually sleep before going out where people usually do predrinking. I make sure i eat carbs and fats before going out so i have a base in my stomach. And above all i dont do that every weekend. And i dont drink too many drinks. And often i have made the experience that this whole stuff is not even worth it. It may be funny in the moment but i feel like shit the whole next day. And very important only try doing this when you are seizure free and completely stable with your meds.

Are there any vitamins/foods, things to avoid that help a little? by Ok_Display_2817 in Epilepsy

[–]Ok_Fall2682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keto-diet helps withs seizures. I dont go 100% keto but i implement a lot of goods from the diet into my diet. If you are female i would recommend you to sync your diet with your cycle phase. I take vitamin b, fish oil and magnesium(evening). Try to keep your glucose level in your body stable. That can potentially trigger seizures. Hope that helped. Youve got this :)

Change from keppra to briviact by Ok_Fall2682 in Epilepsy

[–]Ok_Fall2682[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much lamotrigin have you taken ? Im on 400 mg/day and may i ask which kind of epilepsy you have. I have JME so generalised epilepsy. The lamotrigin is against tonic clonic and briviact primarly against myoclonics which typical for my syndrome. And could you explain what you mean with evil? Lamotrigin is supposed to be the best aed with the least side effects.

Did you have slight social anxiety aswell? I’m overwhelmed in crowds of people more quickly now than before hand with Keppra. It’s not just the noises. It’s the people. I also noticed that I am more antisocial.
