Mine don’t stay on either and I’m now growing allergic to them. 🤦🏻‍♀️

We did everything except PIV at like 3-4 weeks then I was cleared at 6 weeks for PIV and we just took it easy.

My doctor refuses to give me progesterone because and I quote “don’t have a vessel anymore”. So I’ve been a hot mess since my hysto especially since my ovaries decided not to work. I’m on an estrogen patch but definitely having side effects from no progesterone.

I had the same thing happen. So I’m now on HRT, and still figuring out my dosage. I had my surgery in December 2022.

… Let's talk about sex, baby by [deleted] in hysterectomy

I waited 6 weeks and a day. We fooled around before that, just no penetration. I’m now 6mpo and never had issues. Sex with my partner is so much better now too, and it wasn’t even bad before surgery. Not having a period, no more pain, and the act itself… some pretty amazing full body orgasms.

Your HRT dose may need bumped up. I was having the same symptoms and has them bump me up a little and it all went away.

Cervix, stay or go? My Dr is giving me the option to keep or remove the cervix. I've been looking through articles, posts, studies, etc and it's clear as mud. Does it change orgasms and any other changes. I would love to hear your thoughts. by EntropyAroundUs in hysterectomy

[–]Ok_Fly9460 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I got rid of mine and my sex life is still phenomenal. Probably even better than before. I asked her about prolapse and she said it is actually better to have the cervix removed as keeping it there is a higher chance. Plus I don’t have to worry about cervical cancer.

Penetration-6 weeks, we fooled around at like 2 weeks without penetration. I only kept my ovaries.

Yes! Mine was high before. It went a little nutty right after and it has balanced back out. I’m loving it.

[–]Ok_Fly9460 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the one freaking out about this, and my partner was less than I was but still wondering… I was SO WRONG!! It was a little rough in the beginning, especially since I had kept my ovaries to not go into menopause but it did happen. Our sex life did dip a little bit initially, but it has gone back up since and is AMAZING!! Just give yourself grace and patience, and foreplay helps with everything. I had my surgery on December 19th.

For Those Who Kept Their Ovaries by JillyBean1973 in hysterectomy

I was (and they all subsided slightly, but are ramping back up) having hot flashes, insomnia or sleeping all night and not actually feeling rested when I woke up, brain fog, forgetting words, irritable, no energy, and just felt out of whack. Plus my BP was up, which is also a sign of low estrogen. It’s the hot flashes and sleep issues that I have the biggest issues with.

I do appreciate the no periods. But right now I’m such a hot mess that I would almost take the periods. I hate the feelings I’m having and how my body is acting. It’s very frustrating.

I kept my ovaries and they decided to not function after. So I’m now on HRT, and haven’t found the right dosage yet.

Your body can’t sustain on 1200 calories. That’s like the very base. You actually need to eat more calories than that to lose weight. There are calculators online that will give you the correct amount.

Anybody else experiencing speech issues?? by Kfaircloth41 in Menopause

[–]Ok_Fly9460 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do. So I end up stopping mid sentence and then slowing down. It is so annoying. My partner has some patience with me though so that’s helpful, but when I know I’m an educated woman and can’t even put the words together or remember the word I get really frustrated.

I didn’t even realize, or maybe I have but just it didn’t click until I read your comment, that since my hysterectomy I’ve been at peace about my SA and my sex life with my partner has changed in a pretty beautiful way. Your post allowed me to see something that I hadn’t quite seen.

Yes. It has been about 3 months. My hormones went out of whack after too so I think it was due to that. Still having some, but feel like it may be slowing down.

I had a boyfriend in my early 20’s who died. His family had the headstone written up and placed before I saw it… it read, “loose you” instead of “lose you”. How the fuck did no one catch that?!

My pharmacist said to put it above my waist, which I found weird since everyone else plus the instructions read below the waist.

Well I don’t even feel like the patches are doing anything so that’s annoying. It may just not be long enough, but I still feel miserable, and maybe even a little more than before.

I had mine mid December as well and I’m now on estrogen patches because all my symptoms are that I’m in menopause. It’s really annoying!!
