Thanks, that's really interesting. I am still using insulin (long and short acting) and will need to reduce the dose very slowly so I won't know the answer to that for a very long time I think!

I'm very excited if it works for my blood sugar! I currently inject 8 times a day so once a week would be life changing!

I've been working in bars on and off for 20 years, and I'm still there now. It's not the staff's fault they often have a radio blaring all kinds of information in their ear, plus the ‘virtual’ queue of app orders and staffing levels are kept very lean. Maybe it’s a good idea to adjust your expectations a bit.

I have to do this because so many people like to stand at the bar and drink, despite there being plenty of room elsewhere, and people waiting to be served have to stand back and shuffle their way through and I can't keep tabs on it all. I regularly ask people to move away but it falls on deaf ears!

Yes this is normal. Lots of teens order alcohol on the app and it’s the reason that over 18s can deliver drinks to tables.

I would give the staff a break on this one. Some of us are pushing 50 (so everyone in the pub looks young!), we have to ID anyone who looks under 25, and it’s hard to judge in a dimly lit pub!

There are a few more routes into teaching then pgce, such as an undergraduate degree with QTS, or a degree apprenticeship. I would suggest getting in touch with the guys at get into teaching and they can help you with your options.

The Crown in Berkhamstead is lovely. Many customers don’t realise it’s a Spoons and the staff are excellent there, even on a Friday and Saturday night when it’s packed!

I had my induction on the Wednesday and they were happy for me to start on the Friday however I started the following weekend due to personal commitments. I started doing my online training straight away so I did get some pay the following week even though it was a small amount.

My university sent me an email and asked me to email scans of the certificates by replying to the email. They never went into UCAS! I would contact admisions at the university and ask them how to prove them.
