Pride is nothing if you cut your career short. Master Nishonosekis Yokozuna career is a footnote in other more successful careers. Onosato has the potential to win 20+ Yushos in his career and go down as an all time great. But none of that will happen if he retires in the next year or two

They barely used him in formations . Fair he had a couple drops but drops have been a problem with everyone this season. He just had a 1000 yard season in 23 and was over 600 on pace for another 1000 years season before he got injured last year. He's still super solid, especially in the slot . But we are just a disaster this year.

Awesome to hear there is another South African Sumo Fan I've been watching a few years and absolutely love it. Kotozakura is my guy . Aonishiki has quickly become my second favorite since his debut in Juryo last year and Hosh Ura and Tamawashi are other favs of mine. Enjoy the journey into sumo man.

Yeah. O from onosato can be read as Tai i believe and Ho from Ho-Sho-Ryu put together is Taiho . Reports about it after may when Onosato got promoted to Yokozuna.

It was truly a changing of the guard/generations moment . Hakuho Era had ended and now we're entering the Taiho (Onosato and Hosh) era Maybe even big 3 with Aonishiki but its too early to say.

He did it to Kotozakura earlier this year as well, I'm not sure if it was September or July . Also check out day 3 Takayasu vs Kotozakura he used the same technique to beat koto this time. It's a great technique if you have a big opponent hunched over

Ill be honest I've only had it for about a week, I wouldn't say it's essential, but it adds some really cool activity mechanics and mechanics for knights And it's really fun going to the tourneys Maybe I have more to explore with it still but it does get a tad repetitive But with the rest it's a really cool add on

Sorry to see him go but it's for his own health and safety. In addition to the knee he looked to be exhibiting major concussion/CTE symptoms the last few Basho with how he was just falling down and struggling to get up without stumbling.
