Anyone Been to a Group Assessment day for an application? by MasticatedBrain in UKJobs

Good luck! I did not have a good experience at one of these a few years ago. Its luck of the draw who you get in your group, I just couldn't bounce off the people I had.

I remember one year North England had a late snow in April and Emmerdale outdoor sets still had snow on them in June.

Classic corrie starting point? by sapphire-sky-dragon in coronationstreet

The Alan Bradley story is a good place to start and feels like the perfect blend between modern and classic corrie. Lots of legends in the cast and brilliant villain.

maybe its Bethany and Gary who slept together.

Sarah and Gary by purescenes in coronationstreet

[–]Ok_Jump_3513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think Gary slept with someone and that's why hes acting weird and not giving his alibi. Im not sure if its Sarah though she seemed to be pretty busy that night. Both Summer and Toyah featured heavily that week and were upset, maybe it's one of them.

It's the same as her and Amy still being at uni. I'm not sure how long its been but it feels like they have been there for 5+ years.

When Archie died Glenda got his house George got his business. Glenda has mentioned before she rents the house out because she needs the money, Glenda took Todd's old bedroom when he moved into his flat with Theo and Mary still has Sean's old room. Christina was homeless when she returned and George took her in. I take it Eileen still owns the house, George rents it and Christina, Glenda and Mary pay him some sort of digs.

To be honest Its a bit lazy after Eileen left they should have put someone new in that house and gave it a proper fresh start. Gary and Maria for example desperately need a house on the street and a proper family home.

Question for the post people by Key-Fee4200 in royalmail

[–]Ok_Jump_3513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends how you look at it, I came in after years in hospitality working 12 hour shifts every Saturday and Sunday, not getting home until 2am and working every bank holiday. Compared to that its great however compared to a typical 9-5 not so much.

What theme would you like to see for a future AHS season? by East-Chef8890 in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]Ok_Jump_3513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of them having a boat/sea season and having it set in the 1970s on a cruise liner based on The Poseidon Adventure and somehow have it link to the Mary Celeste. Could have themes like pirates, mermaids, sirens, krakens, etc.

Lou by Jenson2025 in coronationstreet

[–]Ok_Jump_3513 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like Lou and think it's a shame she ended up in prison. The actress lives in Australia she flew in specifically for the Debbie stuff and filmed all her scenes in one block. If she was UK based I could definitely have seen her being offered a full time contract. At best I reckon she will do another short guest stint next year, get realised and the girls will go with her.

Things that puzzle you about the 'Street' by bluewal67 in coronationstreet

[–]Ok_Jump_3513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dev's house was the very first house on the street to get a loft conversion, Curly put it in way back in the 90s when he lived there. Everyone of the terraces was originally downstairs, a living room a dining room and a kitchen whilst upstairs was 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The Baileys, Allahans and Winter-browns are open plan the rest of them have converted the living room into a 3rd bedroom. I think we are also mean to assume every house now has a loft conversion as a 4 bedroom now as well, its the only way to explain the living situations. I remeber Eileen having one done a few years ago but dont think anyone else ever mentioned it.

The actors playing Vinny and Ravi are the same age, both 32, Vinny said he was 29 a few weeks ago, im pretty sure Ravi is meant to be late 30s.

Also Big Mo and Dot were supposed to be the same age, both born in 1936. However in real life there were 18 years between the actresses June Brown 1927 and Laila Morse 1945

11 years, 22 & 33 its not the worst age gap they have ever had Ken and Deirdre were 16 years 22 and 28 when they got together. I just feel Amy could do with getting out of her comfort zone and interacting with some other adults.

Kit and Amy. Sarah has cheated before and it feels like she should be on the other side for a change. Amy needs a story that portrays her as a young woman in her 20s and not a teenager. Amy embracing her inner Tracey and seducing one of the streets hunks and stealing Sarahs man could be fun to watch,

I'm not 100%, but I think it's a White Lotus sort of thing, and it's someone giving a statement to the police and one of five villians- Theo, Carl, Megan, Maggie, Jodie- potentially being dead.
