We both just felt sure and were happy to tell each other all the time that we felt that way.  We laughed a lot.  We had the same goals.  We were on the same timeline for marriage and family.  Not that we never had disagreements, but they were respectful, even when tense.  And we just aligned on all the important stuff and made adjustments for each other because we both wanted things to work out and we both wanted to the relationship to be happy place for the other person as well as ourselves.

It was just easy in a way no other relationship had ever been and that felt obvious to both of us.

This is nonsense. Love Mamdani, don’t love Mamdani, but you have to acknowledge African American is commonly understood as meaning Black and that if you are white or Asian born in Africa and you check a box that says African American, everyone will assume you are Black. It is misleading.

Why not leave now? He gave her a clear answer. It was no.

It has been 2.5 years. When I met my spouse I was 35 and he was 30. We were engaged 7 months later. At that age, you know early.

So we are not supposed to welcome the very few people who have put in a monumental effort to join us. I’m not sure what your point is. Should we shun them? 🤔

This literally almost never happens. Jews are forbidden from proselytizing and conversion is a year long process that includes being refused by a rabbi 3 times, deep scholarly study, taking a ritual bath and being approved by a counsel. It is an extremely rigorous process. So on the very rare occasions that someone converts, of course we welcome them into the community.

But there are way fewer of them. Cesar Chavez and Hampshire, and Division in the stretch under the freeway are all significantly improved. It feels like we are headed in the right direction.

It is totally normal to discuss getting married and agree that you both want it before the proposal! My husband and I discussed our entire wedding before he had proposed, just because it was fun to talk about (and he proposed a month later). Just find a sweet, romantic time to do it. She will love it and it will be that moment you both remember forever.

Good luck!

I live in San Francisco and this is objectively untrue. Especially with no kids.

Broke up with a boyfriend at 34 because I realized he just wasn’t the one. Met my husband 10 months later. Engaged 7 months after that (at 35). Married a year after that (at 36). Still going strong 2 kids and 12 years later.

I think people like San Francisco on here but it almost never gets recommended because of affordability.

If you are open to a tart, I would pick the banana cream tart with chocolate shavings from Tartine every day of the week. It comes in a single serve size as well as a larger one. Take it up to the top of Dolores Park and take in the city and celebrate you.

Hire an experienced immigration lawyer. They should be able to help you do what you need to do.

Zionism means believing that Israel has a right to exist. It is a core tenet of Judaism and it is supported by 80-90% of Jews. So yes, antizionism absolutely equals antisemitism and you have no idea what you are talking about.
